Greetings and welcome to the NEW Viper Club of America vBulletin forums! As you can see the look and feel of these new forums is VERY different. While the initial conversion is now completed, you will notice a couple things didn't quite make it. No worries, this is being worked on currently but we wanted you, our valued members and guests, to be able to "test drive" the forums as they sit. A few notes up front:

1. You will notice that the avatars did not transfer over successfully. VCA Members can now upload their own avatars - like right now! What we would request (and will enforce) is that they stay true to the "Vipers Only" rules. Anything else WILL be deleted. We will continue to try to get the "old" avatars restored and may manually upload them if possible.

2. The drop down menus (Classified, etc.) were not included in this banner design. That WILL change very shortly. In the meantime you can access all of those "old" links by going to the main VCA page: http://www.viperclub.org/

3. This is a new format for both your admins and moderators and will involve a little bit of a learning curve. Just in case we happen to ban everybody by accident... :)

Feel free to post other comments (good or bad). We have created a thread for bugs and/or suggestions here. We will be watching these closely and appreciate your patience!

:usa: worth mentioning for everyone to go through all the 'user CP' settings, as PM's and a few other useful options are turned off by default

well done the VCA web guys :usa:

Have signatures gone the way of "VCA members only" under our new format? Maybe I'm just not seeing that part under the "User CP" tab? :confused:

I believe we have them set up for VCA Members & verified Viper Owners only, however you may also notice that the "Viper Owner" tags haven't been migrated yet either. Working on it!

Good job, I like the new look, haven't had a chance to navigate around yet, but it looks great

Love the new look. I didn't notice the gallery link anywhere. Is that going to be added back?

So much for sneaky pete I guess. Maybe a small point, but frustrating. If we can't even get our logo up front, it just seems us gen1/2 guys are going to be hung out to dry in the future for support. I hope I'm mistaken, but it does seem the way things are headed.

Actually, you are mistaken. We just got the banner fixed up yesterday and realized that ol' Pete had failed to make an appearance. No matter, we have already discussed a couple ways to make sure he makes an appearance. Fear not my never-forgotten friend! :2tu:

So far I like it, will take some getting used to though. Will we still be able to have a couple of pics for our avatar if we want?

Is there a way to constantly have the newest threads at the top? I change it, but it defaults back to the previos method.

I think mine is organized with the newest threads on top, but will double-check. We can make that the default for all of the forums very easily.

I am assuming you mean uploading/transferring other folk's avatars. No worries, we are still working on that. I see your avatar is up and running, so that is good! :2tu:

Certainly looks more 2007 now.

Top banner looks a bit large to me..takes up alot of scren real estate, but that just me.

defintely better though.

yes i am a viper owner and was listed as so on the previous site. as you can see i have been on the site since december 2001 with over 1500 posts. in the "user CP" section i updated all my info even giving the VIN # to my car. what do i do now :confused:

No, it's all of us. The banner WILL be reduced in size and the buttons added for the different sections of the site (gallery, classifieds, etc.). Not to mention Sneaky Pete. :D

Please note that if one starts a new thread that it doesnt show up in the threads (but can be seen in the main menu on the right..until someone starts a newer one).

All else looks great, will check out the search function.

I like the new look.

Question: Is there a way to go from one discussion forum to another without going back the the Forums page? It would be nice to go directly from say the Gen1&2 forum to the Gen3 forum without going back to the Forums directory page. If this is already doable I apologize.

I know who you are - no worries there. ;)

Apparently not all of the titles made it over in the migration. We will look into this and fix it up as quickly as possible.
