Not that I know of. However the step is a little shorter this time, as you can click on the "parent" forum name towards the top (next to your name) - in this case "General Viper Discussion". Unlike the previous forums that gave you the main forum page (all forums), this will give you only the Viper-specific forums, including Gen III. Every little bit helps! :2tu:

actually if you try and download an avatar, it says "failed", but it actually works.

Hey guys, as noted we do not have the links/buttons in the headers as they should have been. This was an oversight (a big one!) and is being fixed. In the meantime you can go to www.viperclub.org for the "old" listings and links at the top. Sorry about that!

Gentlemen - Please have a little patience here. While you are definitely important to us, our priorities right now are getting the site working better (just fixed the way threads are listed - should list by most recent post now) and taking care of our VCA Members - the guys that basically paid to be here. I give you my word that yours WILL be fixed, but we can't drop everything for you right now. My apologies.

And with that in mind I went ahead and manually edited your title. I don't think there is an actual user group for Viper Owners that gives you certain privileges (avatars, etc.) so that will be in the works. PM me when you call in or fax your renewal and I will verify with VCA HQ and get you updated immediately. Membership has it's rewards. ;)

While Lee will probably kill me (he verifies it with the VCA HQ and gets a blood sample), I went ahead and fixed it for you. Always a pleasure!

Search function

Is the search feature up and running yet? I have tried two very basic searches with no results found. Hard to believe that "wheel" or "exhaust" produces no results.

Up and running and I did a search earlier that worked well. Not sure what is happening with yours (tried it myself and got your results - that's it). Will check on it now!

It looks like it is using the vBulletin search engine and I am checking with our programmers to see if it should be something else. Be patient, as it is a holiday...

I see there's now a Mark Forums Read button at the bottom of the main page and we no longer have to click two or three things for it to do it. Cool. :2tu:

Also, I noticed that when you click on a thread that has new messages in a thread you've previously viewed the old forum used to take you right to the first new message. So far this one just starts right at the first message in the thread, regardless of whether you've already read it.

Thanks for adding a spell checking tool, too.

Avatar function is working fine! Do what the guys are telling you to do. Click on the user cp button and from there it is pretty self explanitory. I also got the " failed to upload picture" response but I does work.
Am still wondering if we can have more than one picture for our avatar?!

Would it be possible to fix my user name and delete the "imported_ " from in front of Silver_Snake?

Also, VIN # was added some time ago, possible to change status to Viper Owner?

You can change them out manually or create a rotating GIF file (as many have done in the past).

I suspect we can verify your VIN in short order and change your status after that. As for changing your name, somebody already has "Silver Snake", so that is too close to your request. Hope this helps, and be sure to join the Kansas City VCA - free Dyno Day next Sunday!
