Stripe it 
Paint fade will NOT be an issue unless you park the car outside in the sun a great deal of time. The vinyl is easily repairable if you get a ***** in it too. If done right using a good vinyl thats not TOO thick, most can't tell if it's paint or not. I have had many people stand a few inches a way from mine and ask if it's paint.Man!!! Looks like I have my winter project. Looks unanimous on stripes. Now the Vinyl or paint debate. I do my own paint so that's OK just more time than tape. Like the tape idea since if you put back to stock it's less work but it seems you would still have a paint fade that would show when the stripes were removed.. Then again if painted it would have smooth edges. Plus have the extra deep coats of clear. ??? Man , you guys got me going now??
