I wanted to change my plate (its personalized, but I wanted to change what it said) but since my tag cost $530, I refused to pay the extra $80 for a new personalized plate.

Nice plate...My sig over on another board for the longest time has included the phrase, "If you think Eve was weak for being tempted by a snake, you've never ridden in a Viper". That plate wouldn't work as well on any other car.

They say that NJ takes 10 weeks to actually receive personalized plates from the Leesburg State Prison (yes everyone, they make the license plates for NJ, no fooling). Waiting for them to send me the little letter back and tell me what the actual plate will be. How long did you wait? Going on 4 weeks with no word yet.

Wow, $580 for a personalized tag. 
They are only $15 extra per year in Missouri.
I applied for mine last week. I won't say what it is because I haven't received notice that it's mine yet. An email from the DMV said it was still available two weeks ago.

It cost me $530 to just renew the tag for 2007. If I had gotten a new personalized tag, it would've cost $80 more and 12 weeks

Twice while at the same station getting gas I have had adults who could not figure out what the plate said.
Even after I told them it was a viper!

I used to run personalized plated on all my vehicles, but have decided against it since they were so easy to remember to get you in trouble. So now all anyone could say is "it was a B/W Viper and I don't remember the tag number", that way I can remain somewhat anonymous.

LOVE the KILLER SNAKE plate!! Only thing we could come up with was 05 BEAST with NO "NY" state picture in the middle--you have a choice. All the good ones were taken here
