NY/CT NYU Charity Car Show Event this Sunday May 6th

Where is the post for this? This was a great event last year and wish i knew about this earlier. Who has the info on this? all i know is that there will be ferrari, lambo, vipers vettes and many others. last year we went to this and then took a cruise to Island city for lunch and it was great! well kinda

Already spoke to Jon (the person throwing the event) and I as well as UVBINBIT will be there. I did not want to post since there was the mystic CT cruise this weekend.

If anyone is coming, if you can, please bring a small gift for the kids. Jon is trying to get a bunch of gifts for them. They already got 5 Nintendo WIIs and model cars from a dealership.

DETAILS FOR THE DAY OF THE EVENT:
- The location is 34th street, between 1st avenue and FDR Drive; you can't miss it.
- The kids will start coming out ~10am.
- Cars should be there by 9:30am
- There will be free snowcones/popcorn/cotton candy for everyone at the hospital

WE ARE MEETING AT 8:30AM AT CHRISTOPHER MORLEY PARK (Exit 36 on the LIE) AND LEAVING BY 8:45AM SHARP!


There will also be a FUN RUN after the event in conjunction with New York Motor Club @ FDR State Park (50 minutes away). Directions will be given out. We will leave the hospital by 11:45am to head out to the Park. There will be a catered BBQ in the park for all of us, at a charge of $15.00 per person.

Due to the fact that our sister region is holding their Mystic event on the same day, we did not promote this event this year. It was my decision. May not have been appropriate, but that was the call I made.

Okay Im in plus Maria and Judy are coming too..

Count me IN on this one! The hospital is about 15 minutes from my house so I'll see u guys there.

Make a note about the 5 Boro bicyle ride that AM. There will probably be some street shut downs. I know the FDR drive NORTH will be closed.

That is a lot of cars showing up, parking is somewhat limited if the venue is the same. I'd get there early. Put on your front plates too, costed me $95.00 plus the toll to get in the city last year . Mo mercy from the prix at the tolls.

Here's one of the security guards from last year, as you can see it's pretty limp.

34st bewteen 2nd and third is where we met in the city last year. if you are coming out the midtown tunnel, bare WAY left where the for is when you come out. second light make another left. will be waiting for you all there.

Had a great time today. About 50 or 60 cars and tons of different ones out today! The Carrera GT, Murcielagos, Vipers, & Ferraris looked great. Too bad most of you left an hour in because the event only got better. I got home at 5PM! The runs were amazing and some of the most fun driving that I have done in a while. Here are a few pictures:
