PINKS/SPEEDS new show, I made it!

Well I had a opportunity to be 1 of 40 cars out of about 300 to be in one of the 5 new pilot episodes on the Speed Channel called "name that test and tune" created by Rich Christensen and hosted by Bret Wagner "Swag" from monster garage. This was out here in Union Grove, WI drag strip.

I didn't do to bad, :drive:

ran an 11.46 (was running 11.35s earlier).
They are not sure if the shows will even air :dunno:

since they are just pilots shows but should end of summer I would assume. I will post pictures and a video tomorrow night.

P.S. at least I was not in a 04 ZO6 running a 12.97!! Was the guys 3rd time down ever. :omg:

and yes 2002gtsbuttnutt, what times have you been turning in that thing....last time out what was it, 11.5ish or so?

No way that show makes it. Doesn't sound like enough to fill a whole half hour.

I do watch Pinks every once in a while. It's a good show. This one just sounds like their really stretching for ideas.

Zen Garbage, do you even own a Viper? Hell I'd settle for you just owning a Viper Truck, maybe even a Dodge..

And last time you ran, I think you were running low 13s no matter what you drove down the track.

No, I can assure you, 11.50s are yesterdays news. But hey, lets all get together again, the 3 of us, and I can be the winner of the day AGAIN..

jonjon, yes you are correct no viper in the gayrage just a slummy 996tt cabrio stageII and a whole bunch of other fun cars like an original keaton batmobile that is sitting in front of my shop as we speak...you would make a good robin...

If your Batman, im definitly not interested. Let me know when we are going to get together, and you can take the 996tt blah blah blah and the fat mobile down the track for an impressive 16 sec run. I bet you cant even touch 11's in this tt...

wow......... call off the dogs! i'll just give you all matching mac10's and let you have it out. just let me set up a canvas so i can sell my latest modern art piece titled "Seeing Red" .......... lighten up! LOL! come on! on an unrelated note, 2002ViperACR, i too got a slate '06 from woodhouse. how f'in sweet is that color!!!!!!! every time i look at it i say "damn, that is a hot color." the ONLY negative is that people don't "notice" it like my past cars.

Just curious what mods you have. Ive been running 11.7- 11.8's on runflats and finally hit 11.6 on PS2's. Been to track twice with this car. I have corsa, no cats ,green filters,DC tune and PS2's. Just wondering if I have more left with current mods. I guess you always wonder, what if, could I have had a 11.5, 11.4 etc.

And a side note,funny like you say, seen Z06's running poorly lately. I know they are quick, but both times at track there were C6 Z06's and they were runnin mid 12's. Finally saw one run 11.9

I ran an 11.75 with a DC recal and K&Ns with stock run flats. I was thinking of changing gears to 3.33 or 3.42.
As for the Z06s, most of the drivers seem to lack any track experience. Most prefer to argue which wax is better and spend their time polishing their sidewalls. There is one Z06 in Maryland that is running 11.2 STOCK. He is always on the Corvette Forum coaching others on drag race techniques. I believe he has great experience and just got lucky with a strong car.
