Just wanted to know if anyone has heard of a cover to cover the inside of the verts. I had a Jensen Healy years ago and had one.

Never want the top up

Thanks for the input.

Jon B. sells them (check out his web site) and Snake Oyl does as well. I've had one for all my verts and they work great for when the top is down and you want to keep crap out of the cockpit. By the way, you can get them in a couple colors and different logos in many colors.

I don't hace a cockpit cover, but like you had a Jensen Healey, one of the first ones - the VIN was 10579. Mine was British Racing Green, and was actually a pretty good car.

Drove it over 100,000 miles before it went 'out to pasture'. Brand new it cost $4,995, and I got it for $20 down. I was 24 then, and life was easy. Thanks for taking me back.

I guess I should add that we should be confused as to what kind of cockpit cover I am talking about...the one I mention is merely a cover to drape over the cockpit and not like the old RT/10s had, which snapped into place. And the ones that drape over can be had in "loose fit" to use with the top up or down and "tight fit" that is only for when the top is down.

Have one, use it all the time. Got it from Jon B. (partsrack) Modified the tie downs for the rear for extra scratch protection and easier on and off.

Can somebody post a picture of this?

I've seen these on British sports cars, but never on a Viper.

How does it attach?

Are you saying that the "Bikini Top" made for the RT/10 can be used for the SRT/10.

You have to open the trunk to use the Bikini top so why not put the real top up.

Just my 2 cents

PartsRack indeed does have "Bikini Cockpit Covers" for Gen 1,2,3. They keep the cockpit cooler, and keep the SRT soft-top cleaner and less-faded, since they cover the stowed top.

We also have TONNEAU COVERS for Gen 1-2, the snap-on device of Healy-Triumph days of olde...............not to be confused with the bikini cover

I bought both products from JonB. Good quality and good price. The only time the top has been up on my car was when it was delivered. The cockpit cover is easy to install and I made mine easier to install by making some changes to the rear straps.

Use mine all the time.

Front fits over the windshield and under the wiper blades. Side fits over the outside rear view mirrors. Rear fits under the trunk.

Keeps the cockpit cooler and cleaner. On and off is quick and easy.
