I know, I know. No need to dampen the ACR parade but man I keep thinking about this...

Not my pic, not to many in person GTS/R concept pics and there isn't a single video of it out there.

The ACR is the concept car minus the poser (read: non functional) aero. Oh yeah and much better drivetrain components. The easy part (body parts) can be made by autoform or somebody if the desire is that great.

Personally the new ACR looks f-ing fantastic.

Nope, not the concept car/nor pic I was thinking of. And I gotta agree, the new ACR looks much better than that one and I like the fact that everything you see on the new ACR has a purpose...

That is what the 03's should have looked like. Dodge wouldn't have been able to build enough. Maybe for GenIV.5 I agree with you 110%

Straight from the SRT guys at a VOI tech session. Rear end of that car can not be made street legal. Tail lights can not be shrouded from the side and the rear sticks out so far it would not make it up a steep drive. With the ACR we really got everything but the tail and the squished cockpit top. Look at the ACR from the front and it looks BETTER than the concept car with the new hood the the dive planes. From the rear I like the ACR wing much better also, more GTSR in it. Yep, my concept car screen saver is now toast, got me an ACR one now.

Honestly, I never really liked that concept ... don't care for the Comp Coupe either. I guess I just don't like the big, NASCAR-looking, rear ends to those cars. The ACR is the way to go -- more true to the Viper's character. :2tu:

Wayne's my hero...that thing is just awesome. As for the rest of you I'm shocked.

I love the GTS/R concept, just looks better than the current cars. The SRT is nice but I'd rather have a RT/10 and the SRTC is mean if it was just brought down on height a little bit. The SRT ACR, I'm not to crazy about. I like Gen II ACR since it wasn't so far off track from the GTS.

BBS rims and no fog lights was enough for me not to second guess myself about which model it is. The 08 colors are nice, 600hp is awesome, it puts the vette in it's place again. Second.

Don't get me wrong I'm not hating on the Gen III's, I've been in a few but it just doesn't grab me as much as a Gen I/II car or the styling of the GTS/R would. Chrysler hasn't exactally had me happy these past few years. Wolfgang killed the Prowler and they just killed the Magnum. The Avenger's dash ***** and the current Caravan is WAY to square.

I do not like the looks of the GTSR. My main complaint is that from the door back, it looks like the design portion of the car stopped and someone decided to glue a cardboard box to finish off the rear of the car. The rear overhang is huge and literally looks like a freakin' box.

I've thought this since the first time I saw the concept car/CC. Looking at the car from the front looks awesome, but from any other angle it seriously looks disproportionate.

Anyway, I feel better getting that off my chest.

What makes this show car so great looking is that extremely low roof line. I'm completely in love with it. If you were to take that roofline and put it on the production coupe, the look would change dramatically.

I'd love a chance to design that on the Street Serpent kit.

Beautiful job on your street-legal comp coupe, it looks BADAZZ!!

Also, you appear to have the 1 of 1 '02 ACR raffle car, correct? I'd love to see some pics of it too! I have an '02 ACR in graphite, but it's rarity is nothing compared to 1 of 1.

Regards,
Aaron
