Is it just me or are you totally unmotivated to take your Viper for a drive when its below 32 degrees outside (that is 0 degrees, for you Celsius folks)?

Finally got it !

Yeah, 32 and below usually means the Viper goes into hibernation. I enjoy top down or windows down crusing. Listening to the V10 set off car alarms or local wildlife running for cover gives me the ****** wood. :D
Besides the cold tire, cold surface issues makes me a bit nervous as I am one who enjoys sending the gas pedal to the floor.;)

My to do list is pretty dang long, can anybody top this:

-replace felt on window guides
-peel tint off windows (scratched from #1), clean and re-tint
-replace hood pad
-probably time to replace my clutch
-change differential fluid

Regards,
Aaron

Sorry about that.......it's going to be 87 in Phoenix today! Had the car out last night......top down (as usual, it hasn't rained here in 2 months!), and it was 70 degrees at 9 pm......it's just a hassle to live here, able to put all those miles on our cars.......we have great weather to drive our Viper's year round!!!

Interesting about cold weather is how much it changes the personality of Vipers.

The tires get cold, and loose some of their grip, at the same time the engine gets even more powerful due to the denser air.

Waaahhhoooo!

As much as I like the Viper with the top off and/or windows down, I can still drive in the cold. Granted I have to be in the mood but I still like to do it because it takes some time for the tires to get warm. That in turn for me means powersliding out of my street and such. Liked it so much I had my car for three weeks as my daily this month because I was too lazy to clean it and loved driving it. I put it away now, but still try to take it out a few times a month. I will be driving as long as there is no snow and salt.

Nope...not unmotivated at all...will get the BEAST out there as long as we possibly can, until snow/salt/slurry flies...(that slurry is HORRENDOUS on our cars, great on ice, hate it). But, I hear ya about the cold...no top down, no getting on it...yes, sad when driving season ends...but I'm sure you, Obsidian, get your car out and about when you can?

WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO

Hey Mike, I agree with you. The weather ***** and is very depressing. I can't ride my Harley or my Viper. My windows on the GEN 1 don't work too good at insulating the cold air and they are tough to see out of. I just got back from a trip to Florida and all I can say is it ***** to be in the Northeast this time of year. Cold, damp, gloomy gray skies. This will be life for the next few months until spring arrives. I still don't know what I was thinking when I moved back here from Vegas.

Man I miss the sun and warm weather!!!!

Mike,

I feel your pain. This weather blows. At least I can get some skiing in. In the spring we will do a cruise up in your neck of the woods... maybe another run up to High Point.

I'll be looking forward to it!! If we get a nice day and you plan on going for a ride, give me a buzz. If I don't talk to you before then, have a great Holiday.

I'm lucky, I dont have to worry about all that snow and ice in atlanta ga. I've put 4000 mile on my 03 vert since july and I'm living every minute of it.
