Some of you guys constantly amaze me, you love to devalue the car you own by talking down the prices...sigh.
And I know for a fact that Bernie has a sensibility regarding the used Viper market that revolves around NOT devaluing the car, and as an owner I appreciate that.
And as a '96 GTS owner offering his car for sale, I appreciate your words here. It amazes me too, how many car owners in general (who may have paid too much for their car) want to bash the car market. Hey, I understand when sellers ask outrageous prices for their cars, that's obvious and should be counted in the ridiculous price category. But 50-60k for a gently used '96 GTS should never be lumped into a category that is called "overpriced".
The '96 B/W is a little more special in the Gen II Viper world, whether you will admit to that or not. I don't think it's wrapped in gold, or is the greatest car in the world, but it is something different and should be priced accordingly so. There is no way a low-mileage, history known, '96 GTS should be sold amongst the 20-40kmi. shady past, Vipers.
I also noticed that most of the posters on this Thread are sitting in the middle of winter, are probably a bit grumpy, might have seasonal disorder or downright depressed about this crap we live in for 4-5 months ! I am.........
And personally, I don't want to hear about the sad economy, and the real estate market that rode the high hog for years until now.......the car world, and car sellers, owners should not let the real estate market have any effect on the price of a '96 Viper GTS or any great muscle Car. I also don't let Barrett Jackson determine what is going on in the car world either. Fun to watch, to a certain extent, but it gets old real quick - year after year.
So, Lee00 -thanks for telling it like it is - owners can sometimes be their own doom and gloom when it comes to the market of their own cars.
The '96 Viper GTS.......AIN'T NO RESTO-MOD !!!!
