As a guest at a race track with a pro driver in the passenger seat, the little 4-****** loved seeing 210km/h. I believe that is just over 100mph. As a passenger in a fellow Viper Club member's RT/10, we were pushing 250 or so km/h. This was with the soft top and a '94 RT/10.

I was in my Bentley today on the way to a clients house, when I see a black 750 BMW catching up to me like a bat out of hell! He wanted to play, so we accelerated up to about a rather nice speed, I shot him down. We pulled over to a gas station. Turns out the guy is a client of mine! He is a cop in NY and was on his way to work. He pulled out his cell phone and told his wife a Bentley just kicked his ass, he was a good sport. He told me he got his Beemer up to 130 once...and he went on about how fast that was. I just kept my speeds to myself...his eyes were really big and he was excited!

I remember when 130 mph seemed fast to me!;) When I was at Limerock last June my wife drove the Bentley...Steve (our instructor) told me to put the Bentley on the track! This year I just might. I told the cop to bring his Beemer to the track this year...he said he would if I would....hmmmm

Hey Whoaa...does that rear wing slow u down?

top speed is definately affected by my wing, front splitter, and 3.55 gears, but the faster the car goes the more solid it feels. Other club members have complained of their car feeling light over 120 or so

I wonder does air density play into that.
My high speeds have all been in cold weather where the air is denser...but since the air under the car would be just as dense I dont think I should have better stability due to air density.

Anyway, my Vipers feels true at these speeds, and trust me I know what they mean by saying the car feels light, my Vette used to do that, very scary. but the Viper feels planted and very confident at these speeds to me.

Roll on races happen very fast and get up to 140 plus very fast...seems that 3:55's and the rear wing would really hurt in that kind of race. What is yer experience w/ that Whoaa?

After driving my viper for the first time i was just trying to get a feel for it. Well on day two on a nice strech of highway my brother was about a half mile ahead of me in a vette he rang my cell phone to let me know it was clear sailing i passed him going 170ish and seemed like i had alot of power still to use. But the neatest part is after we stopped up the road he said that when i passed him it literally blew him off the road and he was going 65 he even said it was the coolest sound he had ever heard. He honestly thought a jet flew over him!!!!

I have always wondered how a Crown Vic handles at speeds over 120 mph...do you feel confident in your cars ability to take a wide curve or brake well at triple digit speeds? One thing I really admire/respect about cops is the balls it takes to drive a 4000 lb family car at those high speeds w/ those crappy tires and that government suspension:2tu:...that would scare the crap out of me!

I dont do much for roll on racing. Stock 3.07's im sure would be better if you are going that fast in a race on the street. At this point im just concerned with road coarses

Yeah, I think your ACR-like set up would be killer on a road coarse. How many road coarses do you do a year?

160 on my Gixxer 750
165 in my C4
170 in the viper

My goal at one point is to hit 200mph+

There is a place out here in NE that you can top your car out on a paved road. I'll have to take the Viper out there and try to hit the 200 mark.

Hmmm, that just made me think. Years ago I did 175mph on a modified Ninja 900, and I thought how awesome, as I'd never probably see that speed in a car ever.

Sure enough I just about did it in the Viper, so there ya go.
