I like the DIY, heads and a Roe w/ w/m on a 99. thats going to be a fun car! If you are going to be running w/m why not just go with a 10# pulley?
Just wondering...looks awesome hopefully in a year or so I can do mine!!!

Roe recommends replacing them and they give you the replacements with their kit. The ones they send have the clips. They say the stock clips **** and will cause problems.

someone mentioned replacing the clips but I wasn't sure why
do they break when you take them off?

mine all came off easy
one was even kinda loose

are there supposed to be thin wire clips around them?
mine don't have this, and I've seen a lot injector clips like these that have a small wire clip around the connector to help hold them on

You really need to replace them. This caused lots of problems early on. Stock does not have the wires and the MSD clips do. That isn't the only difference though. I think the stockers don't work as well with the Roe because they no longer have the downward pressure on them like they do with the stock intake.
I used to have close up pictures of the business end of both clip styles....you could really see the difference. Those pictures must have went away with a change in the website here at some point.

Coming into the home stretch. I got the parts back from the powdercoater today and got everything back together. Just missing a few bolts and vacuum lines. She started right up but I couldn't take her out for a ride because my hood is still off. Here are some pics.

Great work.............

Your throttle cable and bracket look like they are on upside down.......
Shouldn't the throttle cacle go under the cross brace??????

Yeah, that looks more like it. I took it for a ride tonight. It ran fine until I put some load on it a lower rpm. It made a rat tat tat weird noise which I am assuming was detonation. I will have to take it easy until I get to a dyno and check out what is going on.

Thanks

I like the bracket under the cross piece....maybe a little cleaner.

It looks good. If you aren't dynoing soon go ahead and take some timing out to play with it for the time being.
The one I just got through doing was a 6.5 psi pulley, no w/m and it already had headers, Arrow rockers, no cats and exhaust made 592whp with Roes timing curve. We would have added a little timing to clear 600 but it looks like the fuel pump is lacking above 5300 rpm.
