I am working a deal on a 99 Hennessey 800. The person I am buying it from had a Paxton installed at Archer racing, and had Hennessey do their 800 package with NOS installed. The car appears to be in good shape, although I have not seen it in person yet, just going by photos and what Hennessey is saying.

Any opinions as to this cars value? It has nearly 50k miles so that hurts it some. Here is the specs. My brother wants the car, but if he decides it is too much for him I figured this would make a nice racing partner for the ACR in my garage.

I was curious what the value of this car may be, and what I should look for in the way of problems?

It is a 99 GTS (solid black) with the following mods. It has 50k miles so I know that is a little on the high side, but it has had a LOT of recent mods done and is driving me crazy thinking about adding it to my ACR in new garage. The Paxton was installed and tuned by Archer.

You sure thats an HMS car?

Far as I recall Hennessey 800 was a twin turbo setup not a paxton blower. Did they even build cars with paxtons?

I'm guessing that the Hennessey 800 on this particular Viper consisted of the engine/fuel upgrades. In other words, everything minus the turbos.

If it were me, I would take a pass and find another car. Not a very good reputation and he has screwed a lot of people for a lot of money.
If you are going to buy it, I would verify that all of the parts that Hennessey said were installed, are!
Proceed with caution.

My only comment is that there have been too many different people adding different systems on the car.

As far as value goes . I would say that the low 40's would be TOP dollar..

Be very careful. Hennessey is known for installing all the external mods you can see, while leaving the internal stuff untouched. He has ripped off MANY people over the years. Do yourself a favor and do a search, although I don't know how that would work because although he's still banned from this site, just spelling his name correctly in the past would get the name xxxxxx out.
