Thought I saw it here once but cannot find the post, does anyone know how many 2008 cars are planned in each color combo including solids and striped cars?

somewhere i saw something that mentioned about 1500 vipers would be built for 2008.
Musicncars is correct on the approximate number, but to get all the color combinations , percentages , etc. you will have to wait till the cars are all built. There can still be some last minute changes , so there is no way to actually state the final number until all vehicles are completed. Expect to see a breakdown like the one published in Viper Magazine last year, showing how many of each model were built,with further analysis of colors, stripes, options ,etc. I would say Fall of this year would be the earliest to see this info.

which is odd. i always thought that vipers looked good in yellow.
im not sure why they needed two reds though.
Some GOOD NEWS:
The 2008 build allocation is so strong, that CAAP will end up working extra days in December. All the 2008s that CAAP is capable of building this year WILL be built, and looks like Model year {M.Y.} 2008 WILL SELL OUT IN THE M.Y. and could even have carry-over 09 units !!!! I do not think an in-year sellout has happened since MY 2003, as well as MY 1992-2001. Some 2009 MY PVPs are already being built.

ps....You know how much I love Viper history......a bit of Viper History was made a few days ago, with unit # 25,000 coming down the line since 1992. By comparo, corvette builds 35,000-40,000 every YEAR and Viper just completed 25,000 since 1992 ! MORE ON THIS LATER.

Just sold my pristine 2001 Yellow/Black Striped GTS to a Swiss Viper Club Member. The car was perfect, 7800 miles, never been in the rain, never tracked, never burned out, all service done at dealer. Dealer low balled me. Put the car on this web site and the VCA _ Switzerland and sold it in two days for over 160% of dealer trade-in value.
Picked up this SSG silver striped coupe three days ago. Amazing automobile. Simply stunning color. Sorry to hear no SSGs for 09. An 09 yellow would be awesome, but you must see a SSG to appreciate the pearl coating that changes color in the sunlight.
Would be interested in finding out how many SSG with Silver stripes were produced???

fast too this was graph shows % color production but no total #, it might help u some and again is only an estimate..

You can throw the original graph out, as it it ended up no where near the original forecast. The final figures will be much different with alot higher numbers for Snakeskin Green and Venom Red, and extremely smaller numbers for Violet . Viper Blue and Orange may get closer to their projections ,with some late builds, but it appears they may be under estimates also.

Hopefully they'll make more violets with the extended 08 production being predicted here.

Hi Jon. When you say "sold out" you are including Vipers that are sitting in the showrooms of Dealers - correct? Because there appear to be plenty of Vipers available for sale from Dealers. So, what I think you mean is that if someone wants to order a particular '08 combination and it is not available from a Dealer's inventory, he or she is SOL.
In answer to your question, the Violet vehicles will not be in the mix for the additional cars done. Therefore, the number will stay very, very low. Rumors ( and they are only that ) are that it will be the lowest produced color ever since the Viper began.

Saw the Viper Blue at a SO Cal Viper Rally yesterday, it is outrageously intense! All the Viper colors are incredible this year. SRT people went to the wall for this car, lets hope the CEO keeps the viper legend going!
yes by saying they are sold out that means that you cannot order a your own personal color combo/scheme. most of the cars out there are still unsold but were ordered under false pretenses i think, i have seen many vipers that are for sale at dealers that are "specially built for -----"

Is the low production a result of low violet pre-orders ? Are there viper pre-order totals ?
