great write-up. This paragraph says it all. Great stuff.

"The Corvette Z06, for all of its virtues, cannot duplicate the ACR’s electrifying race-car moves (we’ll see if the new ZR1 can defend its little brother’s honor). Nissan GT-R? Forget it: The Viper ACR will leave its solenoids and software bugged out by rubber dust. Porsche GT-2? Getting warmer, but Porsche’s masterpiece (at twice the Dodge’s $98,110 price) plays by Marquis of Queensberry rules. The ACR is strictly UFC. Dare to get in the ring with it, dude, and you’re going to get pummeled."

Lol, read the comments below....

I wasn't aware that there exists a "base viper" which compares to the C6, a SRT-10 that = ZO6, and a ACR=ZR1

People amaze me everyday............

The idiots that post in the blog are truly clueless. I put in my 2 cents, but I'm sure all those Cobalt driving wannabes know better than I:smirk:

There shouldn't be a base Viper. All Vipers should be ACRs ******** package.

It might not satisfy all, but all would respect the image.

Great article. I actually felt his enthusiasm. Cant believe some of the comments on that blog either. 10 year old car? ZR1 spanking it? lol. Vipers really bring out the ignorant haters.

No traction control? no nav system? no ceramic brakes? I think this car could have been better looking atleast .If you see one in the street you cant tell its 600hp under the hood. Atleast a magnetic ride control would be good

how can you call yourself ******** when you're whining that there's no traction control, or NAVIGATION, or magnetic ride control. I mean, s e r i o u s l y

******** navigation. so that u can be ******** when you navigate to the grocery store. what a tool

Darnit, and I was about to start looking into magnetic ride control as an addition.

But hey, if it wasn't for stupid people, we'd all be average.

There is no "base" Viper imho. Base represents a no frills stripped down car when it comes to ammenities etc..SRT10 is ******** while the ACR is extreme both with same interior and can have same ammenities......The ACR is simply the more focused for track model. If anything one is more geared toward Street/Track [SRT10] and the other Track/Street [ACR]....No base. Just like there is no base M3 or base Porsche TT etc. Just more track focused models ie CSL and GT3/GT2 respectively. At least this is how I see it.
