At the bank today I met an enthusiast in the parking lot. Said his dream car is an 00 Steel Gray GTS ACR. He also said he goes up to Carlisle for the all Chrysler every year to admire our cars. He also mentioned he had never ridden in a Viper, nor even ever had sat one. I told him jump in and I'll take you for your first ride in a Viper. The guy was all grins, especially when I hit the hammer on the supercharger. He'll never forget that ride I'm sure. When I was pulling out of the parking lot after dropping him back off he was on the phone talking up a storm about the ride he had just taken. :2tu: Wife said I was an idiot for giving him a ride because he could have been an axe ****** for all I knew :omg:

It'll take him weeks to wipe the smile off his face after that ride! Way to go. I would have done the same as car guys get that showing a hint of what your car does is a way of propagating our hobby....seldom do wives get that.

Aaron

He may have been a millionaire as well. Guess not or he may have given you a few grand for his enlightenment, LOL.

It's always a good thing when you an give someone a reason to smile.

Fast Too, After taking a ride in that "beast" of yours, he will probably end up bypassing on a stock snake and get one that is already modded.........that poor guy will never be the same after that ride.

I bet he was on the phone calling someone to bring him some clean shorts!!!!! Good job.

He was really grinning, when we first drove off from the bank I told him I was headed up the road to where I could boost the car, he said he was content right there and boosting it didn't matter as he was living his dream and just hearing the car and idle would have been fine. When I hit it after crossing the Shenandoah river bridge and got to third, and really got in it, I know we will someday have a new member. :headbang:

That was a nice thing for you to do for a total stranger. Can you believe it there are craftspeople at Conner that have never had a ride in a Viper? I know of one that has been with the Viper program for over 11 years and has yet to experience the joy of riding in a Viper. :(

Hey, we can fix that in August during VOI. Find a place nearby where we can crank it up a bit. I'll have my 04 black vert there and I'll bet the VCA can get more than enough volunteers so that everyone who works at CAAP can get a ride.

Chad needs to chime in here and explain who gets rides in Vipers!

DrDJ

haha I don't mind giving rides to guys, I just don't try to get photographic proof :D This past weekend, I was in Hilton Head SC and went to a few clubs with Jeff (HHIViper), his wife and a couple more people. We were at some bar and the bartender mentioned the 2 Vipers outside. We told him they were ours and he said he had to check them out. After we got outside, I offered him a ride and he jumped in. I think I scared him more than any ******* girl ever :lmao: He was holding onto the door handle for dear life and told me "this is scarier than my GSX1000!!!":rolaugh: When we got back, he looked like I had scared the stuffing out of him. All he said was "going on that ride was a bad idea" and went back inside :omg: I'm betting he trades the bike and buys a Viper very soon :D

For the record, I have never been killed by an ax murderer while giving a Viper ride. I hope to continue this streak for a very long time.
