I lowered price to 110k which includes the tax I paid.Sticker of 102k plus 8% tax= the 110k asking price. It will be back in classified in a few hours.

I am just curious....why are you selling this car. You just got it. There are going to be less than 100 made in 2008 and it is one of the greatest vipers ever made. If you bought it for sticker, you are not making any money and it is now a titled car. No flame intended. I have the same car coming and at invoice. I am selling my 2008 viper convertible because I have no garage space and I would rather buy a place up in the Northwest since I am tired of this heat rather than have two vipers.

I agree. I like the white and it would look great with a single red drivers stripe.

Oops, just to point out to Warfang that I only have a two car garage so two vehicles is it and after 24 years of private practice, I guess I can afford a condo in Green Lake(Seattle)....especially since the market is tanking in the property markets.:D

I was referring to selling a brand new car to get another in a different color.... but your situation applies too. :D

God bless America.... because you know anywhere else, we'd all be janitors! :lmao: :usa:

It is a long story but I put in an order for a 2009 ACR and Dodge took it as 2008 so my choice was to let go the convertible or the ACR. I am kind of tired of convertibles and I want something different. White would probably be a better color for Arizona but the 2009 colors were unavailable. Wait till I win the raffle car and then I will have a white ACR with a single red stripe and tan interior.:D

Bob, I'm in the market for a black ACR. Who did you find to do one at invoice?

Driving Mark's ACR sold you on it huh?

BTW, I don't know if I ever told you, but I bought the Viper from Chapman based on your PM. They tried to pull a fast one, but I still got a good deal on it.:drive:

Cool, glad I could help. Most dealers will give a Viper away at cost, but it takes a little time and some influence.

As far as the ACR goes, I think it's really the look of it and the rarity factor that compells me to buy one, although I know I'm going to get flamed for saying this, but my Z06 having the 3:43's stock, the lightness factor, and a few minor mods will eat the stock ACR for breakfast. Especially if I were to dump the run-flats.

Hmmm...wondering about that ACR at invoice. I'm not convinced, unless it's was an undervalued trade on his existing Viper...

I was really disappointed with the off the line and slow roll stock torque from the new Gen Vipers. I thought with 600HP it would yank your head back like my Z06 when you get on it, but maybe those lousy 3:07 gears may be hindering it again.

The gears definitely help in the seat of the pants feel on the Z06, but in actuality, the Z06 isn't faster. 3.33's would make a world of difference as far as the "feeling" goes.

Man, dont you get me started. The ACR w/ a few minor mods will eat your Z06's lunch no matter what you do short of super or turbo charging the Z. And still, you will have a problem w/ an ACR w/ Belangers, free flow exhaust and 3:33's. An ACR with these mods will be running mid 10's...and if he removes the rear wing, he will run low 10's.

I like Z06's. I am going to buy one for my wife....But I am not gonna let you talk that junk in here. The Gen 4 ACR has dominated every single car tested on the track. Every single one of them, in every rag out there. From the 200k Porsche GT-2, to the LP560 that will set you back a quarter of a million. YOu cannot compare a modded Z (the stock Z06 is a formidable car) to a stock ACR. You cannot supercharge the Z (should not due to thin cylinder walls) so unless you spend 40k on your engine to keep your Z06 n/a, an ACR w/ headers, cam, exhaust and 3:33's will eat the Z06's lunch morning, noon, and nite no matter what you do to the Z06.

And the ACR is the meanest sexiest fastest (on road courses) car being built right now...anywhere, period.

*** is sotp? No ones ass is that sensitive to pick up tenths of a second in a 1/4 mile or 1/2 mile race. If is someones ass:moon: can pick up and accurately track that kind of data accurately they should be on X Files or something. Seat of the pants doesnt mean anything. IF it did, they would give that info its own column in the rags.

0-60: 3.7 seconds
1/4 mile: 11.6 at 126 mph.
Seat of the pants: She moves like a bat out of hell! I gotta tell ya, I aint neva felt nuthin like that before! Gyad dayum!

LOL, no need to be sensitive here. I own a 2008 Viper, I've had the pleasure of borrowing a 2007 Z06 for a good amount of time, and no need to be offended because I posted my opinions on here. Look on Youtube, there's a video of someone that "looks a lot like me" racing (and beating) a Z06. But you can't get over the feeling of the 3.07 gears. It just doesn't feel fast, and nothing you can say will change that. There is a reason everyone praises the 3.33 and 3.55's. Also, as far as I know, there is no cam available for the Gen 4 Viper motor yet.

If I'm not mistaken, MTI also has a supercharger (looks like an Eaton-Roots) in development for the LS7, with an untouched block. I also wouldn't take a Z06 for a slouch, especially in your argument, because you seem to be arguing with Mike about the ACR in a drag race (which it is not designed to do) and around a track.

Mike stated (correctly) that a nicely modded Z06 would probably beat an ACR in a drag race. 550whp Viper vs 550whp Corvette, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Z06 wins, especially with the weight advantage. My buddy is actually installing the QM600 cam in his 07 Z06 after a run-in with a 08 Viper and is shooting for 550whp with the cam, long-tubes, intake and tune, so I should know for sure in the future.

BTW, Mike has driven Rocman's ACR, and is a regular on another Viper site, and I do a fair amount of spectating on the 08 Viper's vs. the other cars on the street. I've seen a lot, and will probably see a lot more :drive:

Vipercr8zy.....I bought my 08 convertible at invoice and I am also getting my 2008 ACR at invoice. That was the deal when I ordered each of the cars. I have yet to discuss trading my convertible for the ACR. I will most likely trade it since as I previously stated, I am just not into having multiple cars at the present time.

Bob, what was the invoice on the ACR?

That sounds about right. Considering the discounts one can get on a standard 08, it's almost like paying sticker for the ACR. Hopefully, they treat you right on your trade, and not pull a wild card on you. If they do and you walk away from the deal, then they got you paying sticker on the first 08.

I agree with this but your statement about a Z06 "eating an ACR for lunch" is laughable. Any car can be made to go fast in a straight line, which isn't a good overall measurement of a performance car. Even so, a Viper has far more straight line power potential than a Z06.

I have both a GTS and an '06 SRT coupe. The GTS comes into the power much sooner and stronger than the SRT, which feels like an ordinary car below 3000 rpms. I suppose that they engineered some things that sacrificed low end power for mid and top when they built the Gen 3. I have not driven an '08 but I assume that it also has a soft bottom.

Actually a dealer in PHX was going to sell me a ACR for invoice but I did not have the faith he would get an allotment. The dealer is Bill Luke Dodge if interested.
