For anyone that has had a Paxton installed on their SRT-10, what did you guys end up paying for the kit and installation?

Their site shows the current price at $8,999 for polished. I found one vendor selling them at $7,999, but am not sure if that's an old or new price. Summit Racing (which is about rock bottom on everything) has polished at $8,217.95.

Also, the installation. I know from experience that its time consuming. What did you pay? Since things are going up right now, prices paid a year or two ago are not quite as relevant, but still appreciated.

If you don't feel comfortable posting, please send me an email at [email protected]

The information is for my own use and will not be disclosed. I just want to have my kit, including installation, be as far under theirs as a I can make it.

The VOI debut is coming up and I have to get some printing done :)

Thanks,
Sean

Sean, even if yours was to be at the same price, you would still be good to go. I am sure that yours will out preform the other competition as yours is newer technology in some places and of course upgraded components. If your New Roe is anything like your previous, you have nothing to worry about. Plenty will be taking orders. Good luck Sean. Cant wait to see some of your kits out there making kills =) Traction will be the thing these guys need to worry about.

There's always a wise guy in the crowd.....lol

Hey Juli, it won't really be a vacation, but it should be fun to get away from the daily workload and see some people that I haven't seen in a while / meet some new ones.

I'm starting to get pretty interested in what people think of the new production kit.

Regarding pricing, I just want it to be a good deal. Once you factor in the installation time (about five man hours total if the crankshaft is already pinned), it should be a pretty good value.

Is your kit polished? Just curious, since your basing it against a polished Paxton. Because the silver finish, which many have is about $1k cheaper and looks more factory in my opinion.

Anyways, It seems in my area, from a few I talked to that went to a shop, labor was around 3k to install.

Basic Paxton install is usually 10 to 13K installed depending on options / other goodies like polished Paxton, upgraded intercooler and pump, tuning, supplemental fuel system (other than basic Paxton supplied),etc.

Installation time is about 20 hours. Hourly rates vary, here they're about $100 / hour.

I was quoted 6200 for satin kit from superchargers for less. I'm a DIY (have done 6 installs on other cars of mine since 1990), but got a 2K quote for a local install out of curiosity. I too prefer satin or black finishes over the polished.

I decided not to do it & wait another year. Interested in seeing what your offering will be.

Dave.

Good info guys.
Thanks.

Yes, we'll have a choice of polished black anodized blowers.

The satin finish Paxton is $7,828.95 from Summit and $8,572.95 on Paxton's site.

Got my satin finish for $6700, superchargersforless.com

I think ILLSMOQ got his for $6200 from them, then prices went up to 6700 about 6 months later.

I just called superchargersforless.com
They are no longer allowed by paxton to sell the Viper kits.
So it looks like the $8K range on a kit and about $2K on installation.
That helps determine some HP / dollar ratios.

Paxton charges $300 extra for the polished not $1000 by the way.

Just so you are aware the days of finding a Paxton kit for less than $7995 are over. The dealers that were giving them away are no longer getting any supplies. There is value in every good product and the freebie pricing only detracts from that IMHO.

I am willing to bet Sean has quite a waiting list for his new kit even though the numbers are not even out yet. We all know his kit will produce, especially after all of these long years he has been working on it. Now maybe paxton will need to up its game to keep up, I love competition ;) I am not taking anything away from paxton by any means, its just good business to have options out there for the customer. Thanks for all your hard work Sean.

And that brings the questions of what sponsors are going to be willing to install the Roe kit? Only time will tell. I am sure some are going to jump on the opportunity.

Supercharders online just quoted me $7452.00, under the 7995, but not like the days of the $6200 offers. Sean's right about supercharders4less, they no longer offer the Viper kit.

Thats why Woodhouse rocks!!!! :headbang:

Had I known about this forum and you guys at the time, my Viper would have been purchased from you and been shipped from you with a Paxton installed.

Cant beat dealer support like that.:2tu:

I'm hoping that Mark and Bob at Woodhouse feel good enough about our new kit to offer it as an option as well.

Anybody from Woodhouse going to VOI? If so, please ask them to stop by and see me in the display area.
You'll see some major differences from our previous kits.

Regards,
Sean
