My 2000 RT/10 has these upgrades --Smooth tubes, K&N filters, Random Tech Cat Back Exhaust, Random Tech 3" Ceramic High Flow Cats, Belanger Headers, B&M Ripper Shifter, Eibach Lowering Springs, MGW Interior accessories. MB quartz stereo system, tinted windows, Hennesey wheels with pilot tires, and a 3m clear bra
-- One year later the engine light is on. My question is this-- Does anyone know a good mechanic to take my viper to in the central valley of California. The car runs fine, but I will not take it to just anyone. Thx for your help. I figure it is just an 02 sensor, but who knows

Your car looks EVIL, man...didn't the previous owner blow up Alderaan with the Death Star that one time?

Hi Vyprtym, welcome to the VCA. To be able to post in the regional forums, you must
be a VCA member. Just log onto the membership tab at the top of the forums and get
signed up---you'll need your Viper VIN and I believe $115.00 to join.:2tu:

Welcome. Best bet is to run it by an AutoZone or similar auto parts store for a quick scan. You can also buy your own scan tool from Harbor Freight for fourty bucks. Your probably right, it's an O2 sensor. I had the same problem and still have to clear the code from time to time when the engine runs cool.

Just curious - what is the height of the air deflector lip from the ground on yours? My '99 RT/10 suspension is supposedly stock but it seems rather low at 3 1/4 inches. Thanks.

If you can travel down to Bakersfield, I can scan your system for you and we can review the code(s) that are setting off the check engine light. Hard to say what the problem is unless the scanner is hooked up. PM me if interested.
