Never posted anything in a forum before but I'm too pshyched bout my street serpent conversion that Jeff at A.P. Engineering is doing for me not to start a new thread. So far he's removed stock body and I assume casting the new panels. Will be painted Sapphire Blue with black hood, top and deck lid with Sapphire ACR stripe. Also will have a carbon fiber rear spoiler.

Please tell me the "black hood and deck" you are doing isn't going to be exposed C/F. That is/was one of my Winter projects on my car beside the Paxton...

Oh well... Congratulations and good luck with your car

Damn, Damn, Damn...

Damn, sorry Treesnake! I was back and forth on the Viper Violet and the Sapphire but I've got a close friend with a new violet ACR and didn't want to see him at all of our club events after copying his car. Hopefully with the black topside and mine being a convertible their will be very little resemblance between the two. Looks like I'm gonna have to get new wheels as I have the same Forgelines you do! Not carbon Fiber for the hood or top. Just black so that will still be open.

Treesnake: your car is fantastic! I'm a carbon fiber hound when it comes to bikes, the CF look on that beautiful sapphire color sounds cool.

What Forgelines are those? Now I wish I had photoshop skills so I could see them on a red vert. Love those wheels!

JimSmyth: Best of luck with your alterations, sounds like a sweet project. And thanks for the skeleton view of the car! Post a progression thread if you get a chance.

Best,
Rob

I'll be sure and post pics as Jeff gets them to me. When I saw these cars in Detroit I was absolutely floored! Took my car up to Holly, MI the next day and left it with him!

Off the wall question. Can the ACR front spoiler/dive plane fit on the SS front? Wonder how the ACR aero bits would look on a Street Serpent? Just thinking out loud.:)

I have been considering the same thing. I'd love to convert an ACR to a street serpent. Front what I can tell, the front splitter will not fit as it is narrower than the serpent front fascia. However, the serpent front fascia does include a splitter than can be mounted to extend at a variable length. The canards should be transferable as should the wing. I am no aero expert, but the balance should not alter to much from stock from what I can gather. I'd also include the comp coupe roof section to complete it, as Treesnake did.

Afraid not Jerry. Not to mention I was supposed to take my wife to Sante Fe this week and we had to cancel. My guess is I'd be in the outhouse for sure if I left for Springfield this weekend!

Jeff says we should have some cool pics any day now. JonB got a rush put on my new wheels so they should ship early next week and hopefully I can find a tire shop up in Holly, MI to mount some sticky rubber to them for jeff install on the car.

They're the forgeline S03P, black with the polished outer and inner rim and the diamond cut on each spoke. 20 x 13 rear and 19x10 in the front. I've got a set of the ZX3R for the track that are 18's all around but I wanted to fill the wheel wells a little better for the street.

Here's the latest "teaser" pic as Jeff puts it. I know he's trying to show me as little as possible because the finished product is going to be so freakin incredible! I'm bout ready to jump on a plane so I can see it in person! If the car didn't still have shoe polish on the windshield from VOI I wouldn't think it was mine!

I can't either! My wheels should be installed by the end of the week it think. I'm not sure what he has left to do other than the hardtop.

Much of the car is not finished yet. Only 4 painted pieces are installed (hood, front fascia and fenders). Lot's to go, but this car is looking incredible. This saphire/black combo looks really good in person.
