I am also confused! This doesn't make any sence to me. Why have probably the most unpopular color repeated? Why not SSG or even Violet.

Seriously. It seems like Dodge's creative marketing ended when the Gen III was created. In all seriousness, I would LOVE to hear why they picked Venom Red out of all colors to be built for another year over colors that STILL have a strong demand, such as SSG. A quick search through ebay or autotrader will shot multiple Venom Red cars that are still BRAND NEW for sale at DEEP discounts.
SRT: "Hmm so lets see. What color has had the poorest sales on the 2008 models? Venom Red? I see. Lets go ahead and produce it for another year and see how it goes."

I bought a VOI 9 car too ..... and you can say all you want about the 2009 being a different shade of white and a different shade of blue. It'll still be a white car with blue stripes ..... and this color combo shouldn't be available according to what we were told / sold. Bad.

Venom Red was picked because most dealers ordered them thinking they were the Viper Red. When those who make the decisions on color, look at the order rate for 08 they see Venom Red as a most ordered color early on so, with no common sense, they assume that Venom Red must be popular and so continued on for 09, not realizing the error.
As with this whole country right now, those who make decision as to our well being have absolutely no clue what the average person wants. They make their decision on closed minded data!
For me I am glad that SSG is not coming back as of now, even though it is the most awsome color they ever made!

SSG is awesome Frank, but they should have built some SSG ACR's. Big mistake.
Just as long as they dont build anymore of that aweful Violet......echh. what were theh thinking?

They missed the Green "heads up Stripe" on the top of the steering wheel! But that is the color scheem I am looking for!!

I'm still not clear on the '09 ACR colours.

I presume the hood, roof and rear deck are all black and only the sides are these colours? I also presume you can get either the wide double stripe OR the single offset stripe.

I Agree Totally!! Thanks SRT for taking away from the Special Edition VOI9 Viper owners.If they are going to offer Blue stripes (even though they say they are a lighter blue) on the White coupe then why not offer White stripes on the Blue coupe, or White stripes on the Red coupe? Maybe because they will not make a Red or Viper Blue coupe in 09.
It will take away from the VOI 9 cars. Guess there is nothing "special" about the "special" color combinations .... They fibbed to us again VOI 9 owners. I was told by the factory reps they would not make another White coupe with Blue stripes in this body style when I paid extra for the VOI 9 car. Sorry for complaining, just don't like being lied to ...
The White with Blue stripes is a great combo. Can't wait to see the 09's. Hope all who order will enjoy!!!! Thanks.
Looks like I'll have to trade in and make my own Special Combo or trade in all together and go SL65 AMG or 911 GT2 Turbo!! Hey SRT, you going to offer Black/Blue interior also with the w/b combo and really stick it to the 100 VOI9 owners. Oh I forgot, the stripes are a different color blue right!

I have an issue with this as well. I guess 100 dedicated owners are not worth as much these days as it in 06. The blue is too close a color for most people to notice if you ask me.
BTW, regarding the blue interior. If it is not available on order, some will still get by trading, or via eBay. Trust me, we will see 09 VOI replicas.
I guess we have to wait and see how popular W/B really is.

I guess people should realize more so that the company who makes these cars are trying to make a living and survive. The "special" combinations are nothing more than a marketing efforts to do so. IMHO

I totally get that point. After all I'm in sales. What it really comes down to is promises! Plain and simple, everyone was told w/b would not be made available again. I don't think there was any such promise with the 96 RT's, and after all the two gens are very different and years apart. At least wait a few years!
They did manage to come up with some great new colors, and that should help them meet their objectives without reneging on a promise.
Maybe they are making too many special editions?

Look in the classifieds, there is a SRT white with Viper Bright blue stripes. It's not even close to the GTS Blue. I wouldn't get that color combo (and I have a GTS blue w/white stripes 08).

Stone white is NOT bright white. The new white isn't a cream colored off white like stone white. It is pure white. The bright blue stripes look nothing like GTS blue, they are a sky blue color. A white '09 with blue stripes will look nothing like a VOI9 car when parked side by side.
Why would someone clone a VOI9 car, when you can go buy one? It would be more expensive to buy an '09 and clone it.

I recently ordered a graphite/black ACR with the red drivers stripe. I was concerned that the drivers stripe would be graphite, as pictured on the web site, so I called John at Roanoke Motors. He contacted CAAP and they confirmed that all ACR drivers stripes will be red! So, I'm happy, and simply waiting...
