Evening/ Sunset seems to be my favorite time of day. I have been trying different photo locations to capture the perfect Viper Sunset photo. Tonight after work I drove up to the Local observatory to catch the last rays of sunshine. I didn't have my good camera, and the car was dirty, but I was pleased with the resulting shot. I am going to post the pics from tonight and a few others.

Does anyone else have a favorite Sunset Pic???

RTTTTed I love the last pic ( beautiful shine and high natural color saturation) and the one with snow capped mountaiins in the background. You have quite the view from your home... lucky you!

Bottlefed, thanks for posting that pic. I have been wondering what my car would look like with those rims...now I know! Cool!

You're welcome. I live on a 50mi. wide plateau. 800 lakes within 50mi. 4 Mountain ranges close by. 4th highest waterfall in the world. Only 5 cops for 100 miles of highway in each direction. Plus, I live on Lakefront in a Log house. It's Heaven.

You saw my Viper across all of the Northern States and back again Dan.

That the one you mean? You interested in doing a trip to here next summer if I host a long weekend?

man, look at those frost heaves!

no salt? only gravel? any mag?

Only gravel, but they use 3/4" crush. Less Deaths since they quit using sand.

It would freeze about 6pm and then melt around 10am. The sand just melted INSIDE the ice. Gravel stays above it.

Ummm, 500 pounds and 170hp. Winter is sleddin' and Stealth time

Ted

Thanks Ted, I got chills looking at the pic. My College roomate now lives west of Kalamazoo. I visited him one winter after a business trip to Detroit. We took his sleds up to Cadillac, Michigan. After a day of riding the trails in some incredible country, I found the importance of having that little snow flap covering the track, mine was missing. Just as the sun was setting, the water and snow that were being blasted on to back melted thru the final layer clothing. I have never been so cold in my entire life.

I found street bikes too dangerous after 2 accidents so I replaced my ZX11 with a 900cc snowmobile. I always figured that if you work hard you need to play hard.

I once towed a broken Polaris RS650 out of the mountains. That was the experience of a lifetime. I towed him down a river and across a Lake that had melted during the day. The Polaris guy was wearing a Survival suit and he sure needed it as MY roostertail come down on his helmet. Problem is that if you're not wearing Gortex wet is a serious problem. Normally the only water we want to see is the stuff we're driving over.
