Ive heard that the rims have failed in road racing and just wanted to know if they would be strong enough to safely run a sticky drag radial like the m/t ones. the car is pretty sock right now but im adding a 10# roe kit over the next few weeks or during the winter and will be racing next year. Thanks for any input you can give.

I wouldn't take a chance. Your going to buy new tires, just spend another 2 to 300 bucks for the 97-98 wheels. Its cheap insurance and you have your orginal set of tires & wheels to put back on.

Right now my origanals are just sitting in the garage because I have I forge rims I'm running. I just wanted to know because I bought a set of ccw rims and was thinking of selling them in order to buy the drag radials and part of a set of axles. If you don't mind me asking where do these rims break and why. Thanks again.

How about a set of 94-95 wheels to put the drag radials on? Very strong rim with no history if failure that I know of. $350 shiped.
