Save the date!

The annual holiday party will be held the evening of November 8th, 2008 at The Parlor billiards hall in Bellevue from 6-9. We have a private room reserved for the event complete with pool tables and a cash bar. The cost of the event will be $65 per person which includes dinner, non alcoholic drinks, and entertainment.

This year instead of a white elephant gift exchange, we will be having a charity auction. The proceeds of this auction, with the help of Hopelink, will be used to purchase gift certificates that will go to the children of needy families in the Washington area between the ages of 12 and 18.

We will have a full list of auction items available for viewing prior to the auction, but you must be in attendance at the holiday party to bid. We welcome members from other clubs to attend as well, just send me an email at [email protected] and I will make sure you are included in all the updates as the event draws closer.

As a sneek peek of things that have been donated, we have a two bedroom condominium in Hawaii for a week complete with scuba lessons and airfare for two!

Happy holidays!

The donations just keep rolling in!

How does 50% off a Corsa exhaust system sound to you? Or maybe over $400 in spa gift certificates?

This auction is going to have something for everyone, so be sure to mark it on your calendars!

Bellevue, WA 98004

Saturday, November 8th, 2008

from 6 pm – 9 pm

Tickets are $55.00 per person in advance or $65.00 per person at the door.

Instead of the white elephant gift exchange this year we will be having a charity auction. All proceeds from our charity auction will be donated to Hopelink. During the winter holidays Hopelink hosts a gift room that provides the parents of needy families in the Washington area a place to choose gifts for their children. The money we raise will be used to purchase gifts cards for the older children, who often get forgotten when people donate gifts to the gift room.

We have a wide variety of items to auction off from vacations, spa certificates, and apparel to Viper parts, maintenance certificates, and memorabilia.

A detailed list of all the auction items will be emailed prior to the event.

We accept cash, checks, or credit cards as payment for the auction items.

Business casual or holiday festive attire recommended.

This is an event not to be missed and we hope to see you there!

Thanks Jon, We'd been invited at V01 X time but 22 hrs driving for a efw hours dinner is a tad too much. It'd be nice, but ...

Thank you. I will plan to try and attend a few track days/events next year at Kent and PIR.

I am hoping to host a long weekend event here in the West Chilcotin as some Wash members showed an interest in driving the "highway of Death" (no drinking and driving please) next summer. So, I'm working on that right now.

All the West Coast members we met were great and we'd enjoy renewing old friendships. I do my best to find valid reasons to take the Viper out.

Thanks,
Ted

Just registered on line.. how convenient and easy!

Maybe we should have a gift for the person that travels the furthest... that would help offset someone's airfare...

Just saw a couple more emails that even more donations (some of the 1 of a kind!) keep coming in on an almost daily basis! What a wonderful group of vendors we have that are donating to undoubtably make this the most successful charity event ever held in Washington.

Thanks to all the vendors and all the people making the efforts to make this event a success, it is appreciated.

The one of a kind donation just came today!
Fred and Cindi Lux donated the front bumper off of the car that Cindi drove to an eight place finfish as well as Hard Charger and Holeshot race awards at Belle Isle!

What an amazing donation! Thanks to the Lux's and Naykid racing.

I got the videos all ready to go as well, including:

1) The Viper breaking the record for a production vehicle at the N-ring.
2) Illinois region's winning video from the VOI-10 Viper commercial contest. (Its the venom.)
3) VOI-10 highlight video.

The wireless adapter on my laptop is not working with Windows XP SP3, so I won't be able to use that to access on line at the event unless I figure out how to fix it quickly.

Does anyone else have a laptop (with a wireless internet connection) that could be used to process on line payments at the event as a backup?

James,

I've got a laptop with wireless that I can bring, but since I never use it for that, I don't have any service contracts. Does the Parlor have an open network, or do you have a service? If the Parlor has an open network, it shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks,
Steve :dunno:
