Can someone give me an idea of how different the ride quality is between a regular Gen II GTS vs. a Gen II ACR?

Not that much I actually prefer my ACR over regular because I am able to adjust the shocks more precisely to obtain the ride quality I prefer. I have driven both and the quality seems very close and I like my rebound much better then stock (I might be selling mine, but this is a non biased opinion)

Other than the shocks, factory smooth tubes and a ******** option, (seat belts?) I don't think there was any other differences. So really, it's just the shocks that would relate to the ride.

Steve's is a bit special since he's got those Canadian running lights. :D

Coil Springs were also stiffer/higher rates. GTS shocks are also adjustable (Konis). Ride/spring height is not adjustable on GTS.

I have only had a ride in one other Viper before and it was a 97 GTS that was rented for a day. I can't say there was that much of a differance that I can remember, but then again the fealing of euforia that came with the rental did mast things like that!;)

Personally, I like the ride of the ACR's. Fairly stiff.

I think the ACR's ride is a LOT better compared to a GTS/RT10. I get a lot of GTS owners compliment on my ACR's ride quality. I know 99's had a different spring compared to the newer ACR's too, that might play a role as well.

I do not know about the 2000 down ACR`S but the 01/02 have the dynamic suspensions dampers on them.Spring rate on the ACR is 1100 rear,800 I think on the std gts/rt-10.ACR also has the oil cooler bypass thing as well.

Ride quality is better on the standard Viper , though the 99 and early 2000 ACRs with the Koni shocks were fairly easy to adjust for a better ride. The dynamic suspension system was extremely difficult to tune and did not ride as well as the standard Snake. The shocks are no longer made, can not be replaced and that has made it a bit of an issue for owners of the late 2000 to 2002 ACRs.

Hope that helps in your analysis?

I did not know that!:omg:

In saying that though, were the Dynamic systems not less prone to leaking??
