I doubt it. I dont like wild paint jobs. I'm just looking for some ideas and I like some of the two tone paint jobs that foose has come out with.

But thanks for your help.

This is my Vette with flat black GS strips.

Owning a Gen 2 Viper means the body shape doesn't lend itself well to much in stripes, except the "Shelby stripes". The body does have awesome contours and does well with all met. and Pearle paints. I have a Sapphire with Siver stripes and it's pretty much the prettiest car I've ever owned as it came from the factory.

The new Viper come with Custom Colors and stripes, although they don't have the contours. You could pick any of the new stripes or colors you prefered and go with that on your Gen 2. Gives you the 'bling' of 'custom' while maintaining the Viper Heritage.

Most of the custom painted Vipers I have seen I dont like so I was just probing for ideas. If I do a stripe or two I think I would go decal.

Do you think the Gen 3 ACR stripe would look good on a GTS?

photoshop anyone.

LOL, color and styles of stripes are all personal taste. I think the Ultimate is Sapphire with Silver stripes (that's one of the reasons I bought it). The Gen4 ACR skinny stripe is a 'race driver's tool' as it allows visual confirmation of the steering wheel being pointed straight ahead. Meaning that when the steering wheel stripe lines up with the car's stripe it's point straight ahead.

Again personal choice/taste.

I think if you start talking to decal shops the compound curves of the Viper doesn't lend itself to decals very well. You will be much better off painting a stripe.

I've heard that the GTS stripes are also a "drivers tool". If you line up the passenger side stripe with the road stripe on the right side, you know you're in the dead center of your lane.:dunno: I tried it and it looks correct. Anyway, OP, you can always go subtle with customization like I did...:2tu:

I like graphite with silver stripes, silver with graphite, white with black stripes/wheels or the new Viper orange. I don't have pics of said set-ups (there's a thread with the white/black somewhere) and the silver/graphite schemes have been done too.

Then again, I found this color to add to my Black Daytona. The Black was hiding the air scoops and openings so I added Chrysler "Sunfire Metallic" to enhance the shape and looks of the car. Probably same color as the 05 Copperhead Vipers.
