Yellow and congac? Not sure on that one.

I think Steel Gray and congac is the best combo..

They made ONE Yellow RT, with Cognac from the factory.. It looked like..... Well, lets just say, I'm not a fan.

Also, Cognac does not "wear" well... I actually was all set to buy a 2001 Solid Red/Cognac brand new leftover, back in 02'. It actually looked REALLY nice on the solid Red, "Rich" looking..

But have you ever seen Cognac with some miles on it?? It gets beat looking, QUICK.

21,800 miles on my '99 and my Cognac looks brand new. I've been told the Connolly leather is higher quality and wears better than the leather on the standard seats.

I think I would have to find someone local to pull this off. You would basicaly have to gut the car to do the swap.

If i did not already have Cognac, i would do it in an instant. I think Cognac leather and trim with the black dash on an all red car is the best! I also think it would look good with yellow, although the all black interior also looks good with yellow IMO.:drive:

I did this swap about a year and a half ago and i'm SO HAPPY I did. I think cognac looks like baby puke! It didn't fit me so I had to get rid of it ASAP. I actually used some SEM dye to dye the knee bolsters, and door panels and even today it looks great, no one would ever know it was cognac before. Plus just about every person likes the black better, including me and thats what it;s all about. I found other misc pieces in black from ebay, and Don sharff (sp?)
I have a black door panel i'll sell but it's not in perfect condition or anything. I also think I have the piece that goes around the steering wheel in black as well. E-mail me if your intrested.

Here are a couple of pics of my Silver '99 GTS interior in natural light (outdoors). I think it looks a little better than pics taken inside. This interior now has 75K miles on it.

Please excuse the V1 wire running down the door frame. I have to hide the wiring while driving in Virginia.

I agree. I have over 19k miles on my '99 with Cognac and no wear spots. A little TLC now and then and it will stay nice for a long time. I wear a pair of driving gloves to keep the steering wheel leather from getting wear spots. Zaino leather cleaner products help keep it looking good.

Just drink a gallon of milk, down a jar of yellow mustard, jump up and down on a trampoline for 5 minutes to shake it all up, then proceed to puke all over your interior. Let it side and dry for 24 hours and you can save yourself a whole bunch of time and effort, and it will look just as good as cognac.

Okay, we get it. You don't like Cognac. There are certain colors and combos I don't like either but I don't go crapping on someone's thread about it. To each his own right?

I personally thnk the connelly looks great with one exception, the carpet. Put in black carpet with the connelly leather, it would look 100% better. That crappy braon is the biggest detractor for an otherwise very nice interior.

The winner is a matched interior. Half cognac/black looks like someone ran out of money or had a politician do the design. That is not to say that some color cordinated accents are not in order. IMHO 1/2 and 1/2 just doesn't look right. Also rember. Chrome is for ricers. GTS Bruce

Chrome is not for me but some of the best interiors in the world are two tone.
