Hello all,

It was 1993 in Phoenix AZ at the auto show, seeing the **** smirking Viper behind the velvet ropes I made a promise. Last week I finally made it come true by purchasing a clean red 1994.
Beyond worth the wait. I have been lurking here for a while, great site with great members who share tips and stories. I look forward to chatting as an owner.

CONGRATS! How well I remember my fisrt auto-show look in 1989.
And sending a check to Bob Lutz
And 2 Dodge guys following up with me afterwards for almost 2 years!

And finally snagging my first Viper in early 1993.

Enjoy the feeling...and it stays alive for 15+ years.

Welcome, this is a cool place with a few nuts here and there. You'll meet them and they are harmless. I know what you are feeling. I lusted after a 96 or 97 B/W GTS ever since, well,................ 1996.:) It took me 10 years to save up enough $ to pay cash and here I am. You will enjoy it here.

Congratulations!
Gen 1's are the greatest! I have had mine since '92 & '93 and have not lost one spark of enthusium. Hopefully, you will get together with your local club members and will be able to enjoy your obsession with other Viper folks. Best wishes!

Why wait for those slackers? :D

Congrats on the new ride Rob! Buying your first Viper is an unforgettable experience. You will find yourself wandering out to your garage so often that you will finally just set up a lawn chair next to the car. Your face will hurt from smiling so much too - but you get used to it eventually.

Now, I would be remiss if I didn't point out that one of the most inexpensive and best upgrades you can do right away is to join the VCA. We actually joined the club when we got our VIN from the factory - six months before the car was built! In your case the Illinois club is one of the most active in the country. Indeed, they have their biggest party of the year scheduled for Saturday the 14th. Check in with Alex, the Illinois regional president. He goes by SmoknTires here on the forums.

Again, congrats on the great new ride and be sure to post pictures when you get a chance!

Congrats and welcome to the Viper Nation!

You will love it here and I gurantee you will also love the VCA! I can say first hand it has been the best thing I have ever done next to getting the Viper!

Enjoy the ride and take it easy while getting used to how it handles!:drive:

Robert: Congrats finally. Got my red 94 in 97 (so 12 years) owning it and have enjoyed every mile. Two drives from Florida to Montana and both times BEFORE speed limits out there. Great car and still love it. Put some miles on it. You can lose the car for any number of reasons; but the joy of it lasts forever.

I dont know how long it took for me after I got the Viper off the truck and put it in my garage. Like some sort of aww struck deer in the headlights feel every time you see it and know you are the owner. Congratulations man! Enjoy the feeling and the car, neither go away. Y
P.S Try to resist moddifying your car because once you start it never stops!Ohh what fun!

Rob, glad to have you aboard! You jumped two feet into a lot of good stuff. You have the car, you joined the club, you're on the forums... Now let's get you tied in with the group. I sent you a PM. You'll also be getting a new member packet with all kinds of goodies in the coming weeks. I'll see you out there.

PS Nice choice on the car. I'm kind of impartial to 94 red RT/10's...

Welcome Robert!
Enjoy your new toy...

I first bought a Gen I, it came with original tires on it :omg: You might want to take a look at the date on your tires. Make sure you aren't driving on hockey pucks ;)

I did my first mod today and performed a cat-ectomy, we used header wrap and added aluminum tape in uncovered areas, I will report back when I find the temp gun and dyno results!
