Walter, thanks a lot for the phenomenol video footage of everyone's runs. I'm so glad you were there! :D Also, congrats on your own great times on the stock runflats* You definitely have a healthy vette yourself with driving skills to match* ;)

~ Kayvon

My Z06 buddy WalterM3 (Mike) is the one who took all the video's that day and he also happened to kick my ass on our only run. I hope to have a chance to make that up to him one day! :D It might be hard though as he is one helluva driver himself and from all the video's I have been watching a helluva track videographer also. For all the Viper guys who hate Corvettes if Mike wasn't there filming I wouldn't have any video of the record Viper passes, so it ends up being a Corvette guy who documented the fastest stock Viper run ever! How Ironic! I don't know if Mike actually considers himself a Corvette guy? He drives a Z06 so maybe he is? But either way, the way I see it is when we all get to a track it doesn't matter what we bring because racers are racers no matter what we drive.

Thanks for the compliments fellas.
I don't consider myself a "Vette" guy just an all around car enthusiast, although I chose the z06 for a reason, because it fits my style. How anyone couldn't like a z06, Viper, GTR, Supra or any other badass car like these is beyond me. They are all in the top tier of performance cars in the world. Whats not to like?
Hopefully we will get to run again Jamie in whatever car you bring(just not that nasty Ford GT. I think I'm outmatched with that one:D)
I still have more videos coming as well so keep a look out.

Although "*** Wee" Furman and I have had our differences, I must congratulate him on his 10 second run. I would also like to agree with him that Gen3 and 4 Vipers are a bit anemic on the low end. I would expect that a hopped up GTS with similar hp to a Gen 4 would pull it via better low end power and lack of hesitation getting into the meat of the powerband.

As far as the weight difference between Z06's and Vipers, I believe that it is closer to 200 pounds than to 300 pounds, since the Z06 put on weight since 2007.

Jamie,

Great run; you should be commended for finding a great and fun way to take our minds off the current economic situation!

Are you going to continue to try and get your ACR into the 10's as well? That would be a cool feat, to have gotten both models into the 10's.

If you ever find yourself in Germany in the Stuttgart area, you can lodge and eat for free at my place as long as you like. It'd be worth it just to listen to your experiences on the track.:drive:

Take care.

Nice find. Alot of ignorance seeping into the comments below the article on that site lol. I guess its to be expected as the same was done to the Z06 and the same driver even on this forum and elsewhere. I dont know Jamie personally but its nice to people get recognition for there hard work especially in light of heavy unwarranted criticism.

I think most of the negativity comes from the mentatlity of guys who think, hey I am a great driver and if I can't do he can't either therefor it must be BS.

Thanks alot I really appreciate it! I may end up visiting you one day as I have relatives from rohracker.

As far as the ACR I will definately try to put it in the 10's also, but my ACR didn't come with the stripe and I wanted it but I ordered it to late so its in the shop having a stripe painted on it and the steering wheel changed out, thats why I took the convertible out the other day.

Practically no wheel spin with these low times! That is my biggest challenge, and probably most Viper owners biggest challenge.

Superb driving guys!
