I have had a few people ask for pics of the Autoform Lemans wing that I have so I thought I would create a thread with just the Le Mans wings. Please feel free to add pics of this wing if you have.

Seems you have the 2 same small sag spots right above the rear license plate like I do. Was pissed when I saw them the other day. Don't feel bad anymore.

Off topic, but could you give details of how you strapped your car down in the trailer pic? Looks like it had a ring on each side of the tire? Lools like a clean and easy system

Hey Kng, mine does the same thing.

Out of the 02' ACR's I've seen ALL have the same issue.

I was a little ticked off too but I tightened the screws up a little and it's not so bad now.

Be very careful if you decide to tighten them you might strip the screw or you might crack the plastic.

I'd leave it alone.

That's a beautiful ride. I've always been a fan of yellow and lime green but never had the nerve to get a car in that colour I'm Boring I usually go red or silver

I like the wing any idea of the Downforce and handling before and after it?

Hey Buddy,

Nice car, but you need some bigger brakes to fill up those wheel centers

That is my next mod. After seeing what Dave's car looked like with my rims with the big brakes, I was sold! Slowly looking for parts now so next winter I can do some fixin!:yay:

Glad my sags could help!;)

The wing downforce is 100% adjustable. Think GTS-R Race car. I can run 0% angle and have zero downforce, or I can crank it way down (even more than what it was tiilted for these photos) and have multi hundred pounds of downforce. That is the great part about this wing. Can set if for street or track.

The shot you see there is from the transporter the day I got my car. I was also shocked at how simple it was. I looked into it and found out it is called E Track and can be installed into ANY car trailer. I did that on my enclosed trailer (pic below) and have used it for a year now. Love it! Just strap the tires to the track that is bolted to the floor and away you go!

Next to the Oreca style wing (which did not allow hatch window to open) that Archer used to sell, this IS the best out there. Looks great, adjustable, and real down force. Great looking car.

Thanks for the great pics. I really like the wing.

Explain a little further on the install of the wing. I think you mentioned to me by pm that the two wing support posts actually go all the way to the frame??

Autoform did the full install on mine before I owned it so I do not know 100%, but from what I understand two holes are cut in the top of the trunk panel, interior trunk insulation is removed, and the vertical supports are guided down to the frame and then connected to it. How they mount it to the frame (weld; brackets and bolts, etc) I do not know, but it is solidly mounted for downforce I was told. After that the interior insulation is put back in and you see nothing!

My suggestion would be to call them and ask exacly what is involved and then let us know!:D:D

Hope that helps somewhat.

Mopar,

Thanks for the info. I am searching for a new trailer to replace my old one and I will have those in there for sure. It is a pain to strap down low cars in an enclosed trailer.

No problem dude! I did it the other way with D rings for years and once I saw how this works and have now tried it, will never go back.
