Guys, it's finally time for the unveiling of my paint project. As some of you may or may not know, my coupe was originally blue with silver stripes. I received some left rear quarter panel damage (cosmetic) on Labor Day compliments from a horse drawn cart. I knew that if repaired properly, I would have to repaint the top, rear, door, sill and hatch area. So I figured now would be the time to shed the old skin and jump into something a little more vibrant and a lot more custom.

Most of my progress pics can be searched on Viperalley, but I am cutting to the chase and showing the final pics here.

The paint is the ACR scheme with SSG and Deep Black (Standox base and Premium clear). The stripe is House of Kolor's Black Diamond complimented with two Viper Red pinstripes to accentuate the stripe. The red also matches the calipers and the eyes in the emblem. The emblems are all airbrushed so there is no more wax problems or the microfiber getting snagged on the lettering. The tail lights also received the blacked out treatment. The wheels are custom iforged Monacos. I broke the wheels down and had the inner hub powder coated shiny black and the main wheel was powdered semi flat black. I sent the lips to a local chrome shop to get the bling I was looking for. The gas cap was also powdered black.

I did all of the disassembly, prep, airbrush, paint, clear and the reassembly was performed by my father and me. Jeff's Auto Body allowed me to use their space and spray booth and also helped me re-align some body panels. Dave's Powder Coating did the wheels and gas lid and S & H Chrome was responsible for the lips. I thank everyone that was involved with this project and I hope you guys enjoy the end result!!

More pics are on the "other" site if you guys are interested. Just search my username and find my post of "The Snake is finally shedding it's Old Skin!"

Man your work is just top notch!

As you know I have seen several of the cars you have done and this one looks amazing!

God I wish you were in my area so we could do a huge photoshoot with the car.

Great job and I look forward to seeing more pics of it.

car looks awesome. I like the stripe with the red outline, it really adds texture to the car.

It looks AWESOME, even better than a new green snake.

I am sure you are open to opinions as well, so, here it goes: the amber corners up front stick out...I am sure there is a way to bake the headlamps and replace that for a clear piece or smoked piece; that would even it up with the badness and mean look of the car.

She looks pretty freakin' hot though, that is for sure! Congrats!

I appreciate all of the compliments. As said earlier, f you haven't seen SSG up close in the direct sun, you are missing out. Once the polishing and the touch-ups are finished on the car, I will be putting together some photography.

Beautiful results!
