It is with great sadness that I have to say that Dave passed away today at 12:30 pm. He was at home and went peacefully.
He will be missed by all.

I know that this has been posted in another thread....but I wanted to bring closure to this thread as well.

I know that all the cards and well wishes sent were truly appreciated by him and his family.

Thank you all for being there for him.

Lance

We are so sorry...there simply are no words left. A great void has been left. You will always have your great memories, Lance, of Dave and his family. Our condolences to you, his family, and all of his great friends. ~mike & juli~

Hummm, I can honestly say I don't know how to deal with death, though, I'm not without heart..... Dave's body slammed on the brakes!! Death is a part of life we don't like to consider.....

So sorry....... I **** at this.

Explaining Viper things to you
This reminds me of when Earnhardt died at Daytona. I was a huge fan of both him and NASCAR at that time.

I sat at my computer all day long that following Monday, just hittting refresh at all of my favorite web sites, in shock and expecting at some point for the it was a joke flag to pop up.

It never did. I'm not expecting it now either.

Dave is now at work modding the 72 low mile Vipers he's been given.

Dave's in heaven now. ;)

Awe man, I have no words at the moment. What a loss not only to us, but to a much greater sense to his family. This is a sad day for the Viper family. Rest in Peace Dave......................

Hi everyone, this is Big Brake Dave Jr., his son Jeff.

I want to thank Lance and the entire Viper community for all the kind words, and the playing cards that were sent. They are proudly sitting in the beautiful display that Lance made for him, and it is on display in the dinning room, for all to see.

Special thanks for the drive by last Friday, I wish I could have been here for that, I heard it was amazing. If anyone has pictures please send them, we would love to have them. The timing was perfect, he took a turn for the worse the next day and never recovered.

The whole family was here for him, he went peacefully in his own bed, as he wanted. We are all very sad, we lost a great man.

As Lance said, we will be having a farewell party, details will follow soon.

We are also planning on a special trip to Willow Springs to spread his ashes.

As most of you know, he owned Mustang Classic's many years ago. One of our favorite outings was the Cobra Club open track days, one in May and the other in October. I grew up racing there with my dad, mom and sister. We raced as a family, they were great times. So it would make us proud to take him there one more time, hopefully with a parade of Vipers, Corvettes and Mustangs.

We will all miss him very much.

A huge loss to the Viper community. We all get to know each other very well from the thousands of posts and *** on the internet and although I never met Big Brake Dave I feel I have lost a close friend. Dave was a wonderful man and will be missed by so many here. RIP Dave.

I only met Dave a few times at Viper Days events. You could quickly tell that he had a great soul, and from his stories, it sounded like he had a pretty full and good life. He shared his energy with quite a lot of people and he will be remembered for much more than just being a fellow car guy.

Without knowing lots of details about his private life, it seems that he has left a pretty darn good legacy, and there isn't much more that one could expect out of life.

Godspeed, Dave.

Jeff- Bless you and your family. We appreciate you coming here considering your dad just passed yesterday. As you can see, he is loved here and will never be forgotten. It's only fitting that a brigade of American muscle will come together to see him off.

I hope you come visit us often here. You're family.
