IMO the GEN IV is a fantastic car. The reason I got rid of my ACR was I just didn't like my viper with a fixed roof. Plus I still have my GEN II RT/10. I am very pleased with my GEN IV and do not regret getting rid of my ACR at all. I have even prompted some people to think seriously getting one of their own.
Have always wondered if I would like a new ACR better than my current one. This thread makes me wonder. :hmmm:

The advantage for a Gen II is looks and a better sounding exhaust. Power, brakes and build quality are vastly superior in a Gen III, even more so in a Gen IV, more power, plus better trans and rear end, go to Gen IV ACR and you have functional aero for even greater handling.

I miss my '99 ACR but the newer coupes are so much more in driving experience.

Lorenzo is a compulsive viper trader, he'll be selling that ACR and getting another viper by next spring!

The drive by wire throttle and the sound it instills BLOW. I am taking her to the track next week with the IL VCA. But if I am not impressed enough to get over these issues, I will be selling her! It'll take impressive performance (which I know may be the case) to make up for the 90% plus of driving I do on the STREET.

Hey didn't the Iwo Jima have their liberty secured in Civitavecchia during that cruise due to the grunts not behaving?? ;)

Wow that is awesome, a Viper in Cyprus. I was there in 06 with the USS Iwo Jima. Cool place, though they wouldn't let us go to Turkey. Only thing I saw there though was a bunch of Nissan R32s.

Agreed. Some people may have a special attachment to a particular car and if you have a chance to get THAT specific car back, you cannot fault them. I know lawrenzo really loves that car. We have talked at great length about it. So I say go for it. If you don't have the ability to keep two vipers then you should go after the car you really want. :D
If it has to be explained to you than it is obvious that you would not understand.:usa:

Seems like a trade+cash deal would have been a no brainier, as you bought an SSG vert. Instead of allowing the dealer profit on both sides + duplicate shipping. hmmm.

After a proper dosing of antipsychotics, I have finally come to my senses and decided to keep my SSG- that was a close one:omg:

Glad to see you are gonna keep her. I really like my GEN IV as I have mentioned. Went out last night and almost kicked out the back end without even trying. Although it was probably in the mid to upper 60's when I was out and the tires probably weren't even warm yet but it makes for some fun driving. :) Lawerence, do you know if the person that bought our (thats weird to say ;)) old car is a VCA member?
