one our UK guys spotted this at car motorsport museum and has asked the question

I just wondered if anyone had info on this rare Viper GTS Sculpture that sits on a Carbon Fibre Base. It was produced in 1998 in very limited numbers, maybe 10 or less, and presented by Chrysler

WOW.. that is really cool!!!!

Hmmmm... if you had one of these, couldn't you use it for a mold to build a fiberglass or carbon fiber "race" body?

How big is it?

I do have a similar sculpture (50 made, numberd) from Oreca. In red and closer shape to a real GTS.
Can post a pic later.

Very Nice! Not to long ago someone post a thread on a similar one done in carbon fiber that was not painted.

Sorry, I didn't see that GIANT sliding glass lock that can be used for a size reference...

Can I ask what the value of these are?

the engraving says:

Tom Wheatcroft

1998 Historic Motorsports Awards
The third Chrysler Lifetime Achievement Award

Viper GTS Zurini
by MOC No 01 H

a quick google shows Zurini as the sculpturer

That's pretty neat, Neil. I was at Donnington last April, how did I miss this?
Assuming that it's in the museum somewhere, I'll have a better look for it in a couple of weeks from now.

yes its at Donington museum where the race track is

its just 25 mins from my house and you didnt pop in for afternoon tea ! let me know when your about on your next trip and ill see if we can meet up

Donnington is supposed to hosting the UK round of the F1 next year, having won it off silverstone, its a lot more of a challenging track than Silverstone

I think I remember that room, was near the WC(?).

Last year we came down from Edinburgh through the midlands, this year I think we may be coming down from Glasgow and more to the west, but if we do get near Donnington again I'll be sure to give you some notice! It would be between the 25th and 29th of this month.

Lol now you mention it, yes i think it was. That was likely the reason i went in there also, don't usually dwell on trophies but was probably hanging around waiting for the other half
