Thanks man! Looks great.

I could not wait any longer and ended up doing my wheels in black as well. I tried a silver lip, then a red lip, then a GTS blue lip...and was not happy with any of them so I left them solid black. I tinted the windows and voila! :)

I also thought my splitters on the back were getting lost so I put a red outline on them...now you can actually see them.

Also...look at the difference in the shifter. I could not stand the big ol "shaft" :omg: sticking out the way it did, so I did a little customizing with the boot. Looks even shorter now.

looks great. i put a blue pin stripe on my wheels, and like it....for now. Did vinyl, so i can remove easily any time. i also painted the "SRT" on the wheels, and the center cap logo, blue, to highlight them against the black wheel. Front carbon fiber splitter also, which i am very happy with. i like your boot mod. Looks good.

Crap, they sure don't make it easy to post pictures here, do they? Long story short, but I took some pics a while ago, then found out that the camera was a dot-com era unit that didn't work with our obama-era computers... After a few hours of trying to get an old and tired laptop to work, I managed to get the pics from the camera to the old (previously left for dead) computer, then to a USB, and to the new computer. From there, you'd think it would be a drag-and-drop thing on these forums, but I actually had to think about how to figure it out - and that's not what I'm used to doing.

Anyhow, here's a GTS Blue ACR - one of the few produced in '09. Sorry for the crappy photos - the car was a mess, it was getting dark out, and as I said, the camera is from the 90's... I'll try and take some more pics after I get the car waxed up and presentable...

Yeah, you'd think that a guy who'd in a high-tech job could figure out how to take a picture and post it properly... These pics took a long time for a reason - I'm fundamentally ******** when it comes to simple things like posting a picture.

I think this car came out pretty good. I was a little nervous ordering it when I hadn't ever seen one in this color in person, but all in all, I'm 100% happy with the choice. The only thing that I can't seem to get the hang of is the way the clutch works in this thing. In my GTS, the clutch is perfect, but in this ACR, it seems like the clutch engages way too late for what I'm used to. I guess I just need to get used to it.

Martin,
In the 135 miles I drove my 08 I noticed the same thing about the clutch,it engages high....I thought maybe there was an adjustment needed but after reading other posts I guess its normal...My 09 ACR is sleeping for the Winter but on my 40 mile ride it felt the same way....You got a good color combo.:cool::cool: Kevin

Martin -- Outstanding color choice!! :2tu: Is a blue driver's stripe in your future?

Larry

Nah, I'm a purist. If it wasn't there when it was born, I don't need it. That's not to say that a few hair plugs for me or a few pounds of silicone for my imaginary friend aren't on my mind - but for the car, it's going to stay as it was when god made it. Except for things that god got wrong - like the exhaust system...

I just saw the pics of your car and it gave me goose bumps. That is outstanding. By far the best combo out there. Of course folks on this thread are biased.

Finally thanks for the pics.

Thanks Bruce! When I finally saw the car in person, it was a nice surprise. It was hard to picture what the GTS Blue would look like on the ACR - it's a whole different look than the Blue against White on my '97 GTS. I actually like it better - especially with the black wheels, black carbon fiber parts, and black diffuser. As far as color combos go, it amazes me that this one wasn't something that Dodge led with. But, then again, most Viper buyers are looking for stand-out over-the-top colors, and this one is really something that's very nice looking but doesn't jump out at you on the road. And that's exactly what I was looking for. Believe it or not, the pictures don't do it justice - in person this thing looks amazing.

Now, all I need to do is get rid of the Volvo sounding exhaust and it'll sound as good as it looks...

Your ACR looks great! The GTS blue and black work well together.

Clutch engagement is much different than the Gen II's & III's. Dead stop is where you'll notice most, maybe a comination of the twin disc and drive by wire? If your try to launch at 1500 rpm by dumping the clutch it easy to stall

Maybe we can also keep track of the Blue/Black ACRs out there?! I know of three - mine, and two at Tomball in Texas. How many of them are actually out there is anyone's guess - and so far nobody on this board seems to have one yet. It'd be cool to figure out where they all went.

2 of them will be in the Omaha area within the next month. I am pretty sure that these are the only 2 Blue with black stripe ACR's built. There are a few with the black centerband, but no stripes.

When I was ordering mine, I labored over the idea of getting it with the black stripes, but when it came down to it I really wanted the unpainted carbon fiber wing. It seemed like a big shame to put paint over that - it's done so nicely it's almost art. When the final numbers come out, I'm really curious to see how many different GTS Blue ACRs there are out there. I had unofficially heard that there were about a dozen total, with four or five of them being like mine, four or five solid blue, and a small number with stripes. In any event, I doubt I'll see another one when driving around.

Martin, add another to the list, my GTS Blue/Black centre stripe ACR has finally arrived at my dealer in Toronto today. It has the Black/Blue Interior. Going to check it out in the snow and cold tomorrow.

The new Viper magazine has one of our cars in it. The numbers 007 are on the side of it and looks like it is on a track.

You are correct, that car was initially sent to Ringold and is a NO option car.

Good catch

A "new" seller has 00091 up for sale over at the Alley, and he is claiming factory stripes and it being 1 of 7. I have called him out on it. We'll see if he responds with a picture of the window sticker:smirk:

It also appears that Baxter Dodge sold their blue and black stripe ACR recently, as it no longer shows up on their webpage!

Yes,

That car went to Montana earlier this week. My Coupe is currently there now getting ready to be shipped to Canada.
