There was a company that made Louvered Side Fender Vents that replaced the small stock panels directly in front the the car doors that cover the space looking into the fender/hood to eliminate the gapping hole on each side of the car. Does anyone know who makes this or a simular product?

Someone Mentioned that the company was called Elite Performance, but has since done out of business. The had a fiberglass louvered panel that replaced the stock panel. Are these still available? Are there any other options to cover these air slots on the sides of the fender/hood?

I would appreciate any help.

Body Upgrades

They are still in business as far as I know. Talked to them about a front fascia last fall.

Thanks HSSSSSS that is the place I was looking for! I appreciate your help.

Too bad no one has designed a black mesh wire screen for this vent area to match the ones used on top of the hood. I think that would give it a more finished look if someone sold a product like that.

I took a good look at those side vent inserts on that site and, I must say, I prefer the opening as is. I don't think they are subtle and am not sure they actually improve the look.

Just my opinion.

These were made by Metalcrafters in the day. Those big holes allow air to escape from the engine compartment.

.. and reduces front end lift at high speed, otherwise the air that comes in thru the grille opening creates pressure under the front of the car (like a hovercraft) which would go under the car rather than out the sides.. hence the vented 08 SRT10 hoods, additionally exhausting air over the top..
