Can I buy straight pipes for my viper w/o having them custom made?

Been looking for different exhaust options and I think I'm sold on using straight pipes with the factory cats for now. Does anyone know where I can buy a set of straight pipes without having to go to a custom shop and having them made?

I assume you have a generation three?
Since this would not be a profitable item, 24 inch lengths of pipe, I doubt that anybody has a ''system'' like that. Any muffler shop could SPLICE IN A 2.5" muffler-delete for very little money..... just be careful getting the sills off

Sorry, Yes I do have a gen 3, a 2004 to be exact. I still have the crossover duals which I believe makes it a little more complicated than just a 24" pipe, unless I'm mistaken. I've looked into the cost of gen 4 tips and they are ridiculous. If I can't get straight pipes made easily-I'm probably going to go the route of Mopar street exhaust. Although, my preference is straight pipes, I love it loud-must be the biker in me...

You can replace the mufflers with a straight pipe and leave the crossover in there if you wanted to go that route, the mufflers are just clamped inline...

Might give that a shot. Was hoping to dump the crossovers alltogether. I've only had my car for a few days now and have not really experienced the extra heat from the crossovers yet-put on about 800 miles so far. Looking mainly to make it sound more aggressive. Do you know anyone with straight pipes and the crossover-would love some feedback.

Dave--I have the straight pipes Roanoke removed from my 03 when I traded it in, with the mufflers in the trunk. You can have them for the cost of shipping--say $25. I never even opened the box they were returned in. They will definitely make your car louder, especially when accelerating.

You would be a perfect candidate for a G4 take-off exhaust. Eliminates the crossover, sounds better, runs cooler. We have em, like new, traded in by G4 guys who went Belanger or Corsa...

I'm going to buy the straight pipes to start with from SMOG DOG and may go the gen 4 route in the future, how much are the gen four takeoffs or gen four tips, so I can still run the straight pipes.

I tried it. Removed the secondary cats and mufflers and replaced with straight pipe. Sounded like garbage.

I replaced my muffler with a straight pipe on my 08, and it sounds marginally louder than stock once warmed up. Not sure about how it changes it on the gen 3 though.

Garbage huh? Not exactly what I'm looking for, but I'm also going to keep my cats in place, I'm sure it's going to sound better than stock. I used to a harley making my ears bleed at idle.
