We had a discussion over the weekend at the track about brake ducts. I thought I had seen some on SnakeOyle web site but I believe I was mistaken. Does anyone make them for the Gen3/4 that take the air right up to the rotor?:dunno:

Archer ran some 4-inch silicone hoses to my front brakes at the last Viper Days event. They do seem to help.

I'd guess that the ACRX will have some brake ducts that may be less costly that the CF ones shown above - we'll see .....

I have the 'cone cooling kit' from Archer racing, JonB sells it too....wonder if you could just run the cooling duct from the stock setup to your front rotors?

This is what was in my kit, you can buy it separately from Pegasus Auto Racing. Make sure to get the 550 degree hose, think it's the highest temp they make. Then you could use ties to keep it in place.

I am told the ACRX will run the same setup as the Comp Coupe-which I believe is what is shown above-they are CF. The cost for the total parts is @$1,200 I was told.

the gen 4's already have brake ducts for the front brakes. just look into the front fascia of the car on the corners. I think they are about 2 - 2 1/2 inches in diameter.

Yeh they just don't direct air all the way to the the rotor. Only part of what's
needed is there

Leslie,

The Cone brake duct kit is made for the GTS - I have one on my GTS.

The SRT's brake ducts do not direct the air all the way to the rotor as stated.

GTSR-001,

Interested in a pair of your shrouds for my 09 ACR. Do you have pictures of your shrouds installed? Can you give us more info, i.e. tell us what they are made of and how they are installed?

Would not need the ducts as the Gen III and IV already has ducts. Would need to know hose size.

Thanks,

Dan

yeh that's what we are saying:lmao:

I have the cone cooling kit, I have a GTS....the guys at the track have newer model Vipers, they are looking for the rest of the kit to direct air to the rotor.

Hope that makes sense.
