Noticed my passenger side is a little higher than the driver's side. Maybe 1/4 inch diff. side to side rear, 3/8 inch diff in front. Noticed facsia closer to lift on the one side and that got me looking....

Does raising or lowering 1 corner seem to effect that entire side of the car as these cars are so rigid? Start on the corner with the biggest difference and see if the other corner on the same side comes along?

Tips? Thanks

My ACR shocks came in a box with my car:dunno: These are what I have on there currently

You should be able to count the threads that show on the coil over and adjust to match for each side to get the car close. Yes raising one corner will affect the whole side to some degree.

The amount of threads presently showing below the adjuster on my car varies on each shock and is not consistent with my ride height differences. I'll start with the front and move it in small increments and see what happens. Or I could leave it as I had the car 2 years and never noticed it until I got the lift and it was sitting at eye level in my garage;)

If one coil is adjusted higher than the other, then measuring from the top of the fender opening to the ground would be an adequate spot. Unless there are bad body mounts/suspension bushings.

And the best way to adjsut your shocks is to park the car on weight pads and adjust the corners for the correct weights for each tire. Ride height is secondary to driving perfection.

If you search you'll find threads that complain of a 3/4" difference higher on passenger side. For drag racing Dodge always used "SS Srpings with an extra half leaf on the passenger side - called "biase control". Having a stiffer spring on the rear passenger side was to counteract the Torque twist of the car to allow equal traction and the car to leave the line with 2 equal strips of rubber on each side. 2 half leaves on the pass stiffened the fron half of the spring while the driver's side was a little softer. Using half leaves on the P side allowed the car an equal ride while providing the extra pass side stiffness that drag racing required. Unfortunately, IRS is different and I'm not an expert. This seems like a good thread for the SRT Engineers section.

Oh yah, both my cars are equal height. Eibachs on my Sapphire GTS and KWs on my ACR.

Makes sense. My '98 GTS that I purchased new has the 1/2 to 3/4 inch front to rear higher passenger side stance. I lowered the car with Eibachs and the car still sits that way. Has always driven fine so I guess it was designed this way.

measure from the top of the fender opening to the ground, adjust accordingly.

The proper reference is from the bottom of the frame rails, at the gauge holes in line with each axle group. Tough to do without a 4-post or similar lift. Bodywork is highly variable and unreliable.

I got my EBC Reds from JonB today so I jacked the ACR up and pulled the wheel. Red Koni labels on the adjustable shocks? Gas charged. Gold colored bodies with bluepurple springs by Hyperco and black screw collars.

Normal or upgrade?

I thought 2000 was supposed to be KWs and the newer canister style shocks by 01?

I was working on the ACR and finally grasped that the K in KW must mean KONI and the W is probably the series.

No leaks from teh shock means I don't need to rebuild them, they're in good shape. I merely need to adjust the car up a bit.
