tread looks aggressive, it has to be louder IMO. but the looks are sweet
Most of the time my car is ******* so I guess noise isn't going to be a factor. Plum, maybe in a GTS noise "may" be a factor??? I agree with you, the tread pattern is very cool and by the reviews they do signal a "breaking point" while cornering. On another thread on the general board there's someone going to the twisties at Tail Of The Dragon. Waiting to hear the report. I really am liking the tread pattern!!! :2tu:

No complaints here. I have had them on my car for a couple of years now and, yea, with the exhaust there is really no telling if there is road noise. Im not even sure how you define road noise. I guess that droning sound you get while riding in a coupe with the windows up.... but I would know nothing of that.

I don't get this noise thing?

Its a Viper! Normal mods people seem to do, are to put on louder exhaust systems! Increase BHP, Superchargers! turbo chargers!

So why would tire noise be a problem? If you dump the clutch quickly, I find most tires make a great noise :D

Viper....Drive it like you stole it :drive: (or turn the sound system up) :D

As for the tire tread, it looks fab :headbang: OK they may not last as long as the PS2s but a good price :2tu:

Great tire and good one to have on the ground in case it rains. Superb rubber in the damp, and good stick on the road.

Did 130 mph in the wet at Miller Motorsports Park and these babies shed water like crazy. Good donut to have on our car if it decides to rain on our parade!:2tu:

Hey Bill, do you think these tires would hold good on a Viper that hit 767rwhp? I have always loved their look. Just don't want to buy tires just because they look good... ha

I just got mine delivered from Tire Rack. I have an Appt. to get them put on this Saturday. I sure am looking forward to "new shoes" on the Viper. What I have now is date coded 2001. I'm tired of tip-toeing around!

Yea, they look great :2tu:

Zed Sump, runs Toyos R888 on his viper over here, there a great tire, plenty of grip for track days, but they don't last that long. :drive:

Changed to the KDW's in March when I bought the car. Did 900 miles the next day, and didn't notice any unusual noise levels. It is a Viper after all, and I drive a pick up and a motorcycle as daily drivers, so I don't think I'd hear much anyway. With the new headers, I hear even less! :2tu:

I got 'em because of the "rain" factor. Don't like the V700's AT ALL in the rain on interstate. Priced good too. Treadwear rating of 300 compared to 220 (I think) on PS's. Should last few seasons. Also, we didn't want to rely on the V700's for the drive to SLC, UT in Sept. The V's only have about 2500-3000 hwy miles on 'em. Gonna either keep them for the track or sell 'em ....cheap!

Just got mine installed this morning. They are very quiet, no road noise at all. On the interstate, they were still quiet and very responsive. I took the exit ramps rather "spirited" and they felt great. The most obvious difference is these tires didn't "follow the road" or seams in the pavement at all. It was very smooth, one handed driving even over rough road.

I haven't had a set of these on my Viper, but, They were factory on my 04 SRT-4 and I can tell you they didn't make any noise that I could hear over the exhaust, and they kicked ASS in the wet!! They also had excellent adhesion when cornering. They did not however stand up well after I modified the SRT-4, they just couldn't grip as well with the added torque. I would have replaced them with a larger set, when I bought wider wheels for the car, but I was bothered that the sidewalls were cracking badly, even before the modifications and with less than 15000 miles on the car. I had taken the car to the dealer and they were willing to sell me a new set of the KDW2 'S at a huge discount, but I was still concerned that the sidewalls would crack out again. It was kind of bad right where the tread pattern transitioned to the sidewall. So I spent my money on a set of Advan Neova AD-07s, and I have been very pleased. They still break loose too easy under acceleration for my taste, but I guess we can't have it all. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure if thats the case since the date code on those tires was 01. These have a date code of 1610. They're so fresh, I can smell what they had for lunch at the factory!
