Would love to have been there, but I just had to come to VIR to see the Viper Cup race, and ended up registering for Viper Days. Glad to hear Carlisle is huge again this year.

I was there both Friday and Saturday although it's the first time I didn't bring a car in many years. (In fact, I have only missed one Carlisle Chrysler show since inception)

At least when I looked at the Viper field on Saturday, it seemed a bit thin. Lots of empty spaces..perhaps many have left by 3.

Bolt, I think you have the comma in the wrong place?:dunno: More like 2200 cars...not 22,000.

You make me wonder If I am right. This is the number the Carlilse announcer said on the loudspeaker just before the drawing Saterday evening. Next year I shoud count them myself.:dunno: Sorry if I am incorrect.:crazy2:

It is 2,290 cars.

"The Carlisle Chrysler Nationals is a Mopar-lover’s paradise with attendees converging on the Fairgrounds from all over the world. This weekend-long event crosses all eras of the Chrysler marque from classic to muscle and everything in between. See invitational displays, a huge showfield with over 2,100 vehicles from all eras of the Chrysler brand, the famous Carlisle burnout contest and much more. Plus, meet ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’ stars James Best who played Rosco P. Coltrane and Byron Cherry who played Coy Duke. "

I stand corrected! Thank you

Thanks to everyone that came out despite the crappy weather in the morning, I will have the official count of Vipers Tuesday, but talking to Val she thinks we got credit for 43, I think judging by counts thru out the day, we had 39 actually on the field at one point. Thanks Bob for postin up the pics, I will be in contact with Carlisle Events to get a copy of the boom truck photos. If anybody has any high res pics I will try to get them in the next newsletter and Viper magazine.
Congratulations to the award winners.:2tu:George and Carol Edwards won 1st place with their ACR in their class, Ed Rist won first place with his modified YELLOW Gen I, and MOPARBOY (Robert) won 1st place with his YELLOW Gen II ACR. other notables include Larry McCourry's 3rd place, Bolt (Bob Zubricke) 3rd place, Carlos Ugaz 2nd place, and Norman Barnum 2nd place.

Had a decent turnout, little thin but not too shabby. Of course being I didn't bring my car I'm ashamed and can't say much. The show in general had alot of thin spots though. When I showed in 07 there was like 40ish Prowlers, there was only like 5 of them present saturday.

Not sure who owns the SSG ACR that was there, but I hate you! ha ha I want one of them so bad I can't stand it.

A little "sappy" with the "hug" icon, but it really illustrates what the "Viper Nation" is. Gary and I are MCVO members and came to Carlisle with our 95 Viper RT/10 in addition to a different car.
Carmen welcomed us to lunch and then dinner later with the club. You guys/gals are the definition of friendly and warm. Not once did we feel we were "outsiders" everyone made the effort to come over to talk to us. The cookies were excellent with coffee somewhere on the Ohio turnpike and the wine is slated for this Friday night. Again thank you it was "s-w-e-e-t" !!!

I had to leave a little early Saturday, but it was still great hanging out and seeing all the nice Vipers.

Thanks to Ginger and Carmen for pulling some strings for me at the hotel. I look forward to next year.

The 40 plus Prowler showing in 2007 was mostly due to the 10th anniversary celebration of the car.:usa:

One must also remember that it rained all Friday night and the forcast for Saturday was rain until 5pm. Fortunately the rain held off and the cloud cover kept the temperature reasonable.
There were also some Vipers not on our field. SWEXLIN had his Black 03 there all day Sat, but it was down at the Adams Polishes tent with the Junkman...look for it in the detailing section, and we found another couple on Sunday parked over by the Photo Pickup Booth.
All in all, lots of fun ... should add a Friday or Saturday cruise through the country to it.
Was great to see everyone who showed up .... I think we reached from Georgia to Ontario.

As light as the show was on Sunday, you should have seen the crowd gather when they started loading my car up on the Dyno ... for some reason, it seemed to draw a lot of attention

I pulled a 384 HP and 463 Torque .... we'll see where the greg good heads and 1.7RR get me

Be sure to use the same dyno for a real comparison.

Let me know when you are ready to do your car. I'll stop by and help.
I'd like to see what it is like to wrench on one of these cars.:D
