I swapped out the Cups for PS2 right after getting the car, my main concern was tire life and I wanted to keep the Cups for track use.

As for ride quality, I can say I've noticed much difference between the two. The biggest difference I did notice right away was the huge difference in grip, the PS2s are a lot less grippy than the Cups.

The PS2 are better on the street, smoother, quieter, better in rain, and less wheel hop when cold. I run PS2 on one ACR and PSC on the other ACR.

The shocks come set up best for the Sport Cups, this stiffness along with the increased sidewall stiffness of the Sport Cups make the ride pretty choppy. I would suggest backing off a click or two in adjustment both rebound and compression to maximize ride and grip with the PS2.

What Mark didn't say is , yes, we have done this for alot of folks and most do find it a good change for street driving. He is pretty much a **** at setting up suspensions, so his adjustment comment is based on all the ones that have been changed.

Good luck and enjoy.

Yes, good change for the street. Did it right away too. Ride is better but adjust the shocks as Mark says.

Not a fan of the Cups on the street. Wet or cold will be a challenge with Cups.

i have nitto invos on 19s in front and 20 in back. Cant say the ride quality is any better than stock, but they definately dont have the same grip.

I switched to the PS2's with powdercoated 6 spokes with only 4 miles onthe car, so i have nothing to compare too. The ACR drives nicer than my 08 Coupe did.

I switched to PS2 with 24 miles on the car in January......cups dont like rain and cold, and PS2s dont like it TOO cold. OH...be sure to get the 295 fronts, not 275s !!!

Same reports as above, and adding 'more streetable' and a lot less rut-tracking-dartiness.

One exception to above: ACRs are 'supposed' to come from the factory on Full-SOFT...so how can you back-off or soften the ride adjustment any further? And any adjustments may be "violating" the mylar warrantee-strips on the shocks. READ THE ACR OWNERS MANUAL.

If you have your ACR set up for track-performance, you would THEN 'back-off' a bit for PS2.s RIGHT?

Summer track days Im back on the CUPS....

Hey Jon,

You are correct as usual on the shock settings...... however, there was an earlier thread on the "pre-set" of the ACR shocks and many of us, myself included, had shocks at all four corners set differently..... so everybody with a new ACR should really check their shock settings.

Not my experience. The invos I run (19/20) are quieter than the PS2s and just as grippy. That said, I have not done any skid pad exercises to measure lateral Gs, etc. I also will run the PS2s in 18/19 for the ocassional HPDE.
