I just bought a Mopar Street Exhaust and my Viper tech at Arrigo Dodge In South Florida wants to charge $440.00 for the installation. Does the charge sound about right? I have a 2006 SRT10 Coupe Copperhead.

I have the race exhaust (no cats) and did it myself. The race unit runs all the way to the manifolds, the street exhaust is cat back and can be done in no time. So if your handy save the 440.00 and buy the k&N cold air and tuned PCM and now we're talking!! One more thing I also have a 2006 Copperhead coupe w/stripes :headbang:

How difficult is it to remove the side sills? I have one of the solid color Copperheads with the H spoke wheels. Thanks.

Did mine as well in the garage. Not tough at all the sills are easy to remove with the toughest part being the far front bolt on the inside of the sill were it connects to the bottom of the quarter panel. It's not tough just tight to get to.

Thanks For the information! Sounds like a fun project for the weekend and a great way to start learning about this incredible machine.

The side-sill removal is not that difficult, you will need a 2nd set of hands and some basic hand tools. The 10mm nut located at the top of the sill will tax your four letter word vocabulary, But that’s the only challenging part of the modification. This was the 1st Mod that I attempted on my Gen 3 and it was very rewarding.

Once I got the front bolt off I used a 'step drill' to make a socket sized hole then blanked it off with a rubber grommet, made taking the sills off for paint a 10 minute job.

Go to the Corsa website and search for the installation instructions on how to install their system. The steps are basically the same and it also includes the removal of the sills, skid plate, and crossover. If you can't locate it, send me a PM with your email address and I'll send them to you (.pdf file). Save the $440 and do it yourself.

You can also remove the fender wells for easy access to that pesky 10mm forward nut. Good thing is you don't actually have to remove the nut - you just have to loosen it.

I paid ~440 to have my Borla Cat back done, so it is reasonable. Now that I have a lift, I would do it myself in a heartbeat.

Do-It-Youself aside, 4.5-hours is $440 in your area.... sounds fair. Removing the crossover is a pain..

I had no trouble with the sills, but could not loosen the bolts on the skid plate to get to the crossover. Seem they over tightened these bolts and could not get them loose. I soaked them in WD oil an let them soak for a few hours with no results. I guess it will have to go to my viper tech to get installed.

Don't forget to reinstall the "skid plate" I was told it also helps keeps your differential cool.

Any idea how it compares to the Corsa 3" exhausts? I'm on the hunt for a quieter alternative to my Corsas. Damn things are driving me nuts with the drone they produce.

Finished the exhaust installation. Not to loud, just perfect....What a difference. Thanks to all for the help!

My ubnderstanding is that Corsa is a quieter exhaust with less drone. I went with Borla for the louder and deeper tone. Not much of a drone with this exhaust.
