Ended up getting these tires mounted and road force balanced at Atlantic Tire off Highway 70.

They did a perfect job and charged $100.00

This whole thing of the fibs, etc just gives me another reason to not want to do business with Hendrick Dodge in the future.

You get what you pay for... I would not let a buget tire store even lift my car if THEY paid ME $250.00. Next thing you know you have two damaged sills at $3500.00 each because you wanted to save a couple of bucks.

That's a little bit over the top with the stereotype. I've had many sets of tires changed at the same place for many years. It was $50 bucks for all four including the old tire disposal last time. Maybe it would be a tad higher now, but not much.

I had a slow leak in the LR this spring. It turned out to be a 1/2" brad in the bottom of the tire. They charged me $15 to dismount, fix it, and remount. You just have to find someone you trust. As was said above, it's not rocket science.

Those who would be willing (foolish enough) to chunk out that kind of money to have their tires changed are the ones responsible for driving up the cost....Thus the Viper tax lives on!
