We have a member that has a 2001 ACR that needs to replace the shocks. They would like to replace them with regular shocks. Any issues, or more so any suggestions on what shocks to use.

Alot of folks have done this. At the price point, he still may consider other options, but the shocks that came on the car are no longer made and can not be replaced.

Some have gone with the Konis on the original ( 1999 and early 2000 ACRs ) , whereas others have gone the Moton route or just gone with stock Viper shocks.

Should be no problem, regardless of what he does, but I would not see an issue with just going stock - IMHO

Does he have an ACR? If so the shocks he has are Dynamic Suspension and can be rebuilt for about $1400

I think the guy that rebuilds them is in your area.... I just sent you the name. and several other options. There are other options as well for "regular" shocks.... can have several meanings.

Does anyone know if a regular Koni shock for a viper will thread onto the fork from the Dynamic shock?

Jon, Can you send me the same info, I'm on an ACR setup too and want to look into options to rebuild or replace.
Thanks!

I'd be curious to know if a standard Monroe type shock would bolt up on there. Is there a way to cross reference the Viper shock to generic brands?
