I know this is not a Viper but I cut and pasted from Corvette Forum since I thought a few of you guys may enjoy seeing it also. If this is breaking any forum rules please feel free to delete it. For the Vette Haters please move on. ;) :lmao:

I have to apologize to everyone as I have been VERY lazy recently and have not uploaded any pics or posted any of my detail jobs for a while. I am going to try and upload the last couple I did atleast if I can find the time.

This one is near and dear to my heart since it is my new Callaway SC652. The car is an 09 and was in the showroom/on the lot for close to a year. I was told mostly showroom. All in all the car was no where near as bad as I expected. There were a few scratches on the bumper and it looks like there were some behind the rear window and one of the dealers tried to remove them with a wool pad and left U shaped buffer swirls in that area. Under flourescents it was Super Dull.

On the bad area behind the rear window I used my Rotary at 1500 and some SIP. Worked great at removing the buffer swirls.

It is hard to differentiate between before and after in photo's but here are some before or in progress shots of it taped up and ready to go.

I used my Flex 3401 on speed 5 to 6 with a green LC CCS pad and Menzerna PO106FA on most of the car. Then I jeweled the paint with Menzerna PO85RD and a gold LC CCS pad. I was going to do my usual Zaino but it was too cold and dark to pull it out for the Dawn wash so I just through a coat of Fuzion on it for now. Oh, and I used some Turbo Wax on the wheels and SS Mufflers, really brought them up nice.

I also did the seats with Leatherique which worked wonders on removing the few wrinkles that were on the drivers seat from people sitting in it in the showroom. Dealer offered to replace seat but after the leatherique you can barely tell it was sat in, I swear by that stuff.

Enjoy the pics.

I used 303 on some of the interior pieces and Z16 on the tires. Of course removed most of the plastic off the carpets etc. It is still on the Callaway sills but I will get around to removing that next time I wash it. I can't wait until spring so I can break it in and see what she's got in her. In the cool weather you cannot hook it up at all in the 1st 4 gears and that is keeping it under 3500rpm's.

Not really, there is a plaque on the dash with the vin # saying it is a Callaway but other than that it is the stock Vette interior. Callaway does offer interior packages but they are not cheap. The full Paul Duetchman (sp?) interior is like 23g. I really like the D steering wheel they offer which is CF but even that is like $2700. I can get a similar wheel from one of the vette vendors for like $800 but it does not say CALLAWAY on the CF.

I do plan on ordering real leather shift and emergency brake boots and a new leather console lid from Apsisusa in ebony GM leather with red stitching to match the seats. They also sell nappa leather but I do not think it would be as good for the boots since it is much thicker. Still debating which leather to go with on the console lid, probably GM leather. The GM leather is SO much nicer than the factory leather used on the seats. I am guessing it is Cadillac quality vs corvette quality which is much lower.

LOL they were actually strategically placed on the hood and roof to protect it from splatter.

I did use the rear of the car as my microfiber shelf. :lmao: The car was clean and I needed a clean spot to put my towels. Don't worry, they were good microfibers and I can assure you they did not scratch it. :2tu:

Sweet Vette! Looks like you know what you're doing with the Flex. Where in the suburbs are you? I live in Horsham and our shop is in Doylestown.

Bring it up to Doylestown this Sat. Gonna be a bunch of Vipers. We have a couple of Vettes at our shop, so you'll be welcome! Show starts @ 2.

I am going to try to make it. Thanks for the compliment.

Goldcup, that car is AWESOME. It pulls hard in EVERY gear. I am very happy with the performance. It actually makes my stock GTS feel slow. That said the GTS will always have a special place in my heart.

If it makes any of you feel better I detailed my GTS today getting it ready for a exotics show coming up in a few weeks and I used the Vette as my rag holder.

The show will be on 10/23 at Greenville shopping Center in Delaware and is being put on by the Porsche Club. It will be all exotics, mostly Porsche and Ferrari but the guys are letting me bring the viper since I hang out with them every Sat morning at Cars and Coffee. It will be interesting to see how people react to the Viper when it is amongst nothing but Ferrari, Porsche and Lambo's. I suspect it may fade into the background amongst those cars but who knows, it is a classical body style that stands out from the crowd. There will probably also be a Spyker and a 458 in attendance. Should be a nice show. Stop by and say hello if you are in the area.
