Can anyone suggest the best way to change the oil and what should the the oil level be in my 2001 Roe supercharged car.....I do not have a dipstick so I stuck a straw in and there was very little oil showing.....I just recently bought this viper and it has approx. a 1000 miles since the installation.....

Thanks for your help....

In post #4 Steve says:

The upper hash mark is 3" from the top of the SC hole. The lower hash mark is 3.25" from the top. Sean says to set the refill level to the lower mark. The SC will find it's own level if overfilled (will vent out). You'll have to excuse my scribing attempt below on the measurements. A very safe way would be to fill right to the upper hash mark at 3" below flush with the top of the SC case

Shoot for the middle of 3" to 3.25"
I made two last week out of thick aluminum tig rod.

I talked to Sean about this when I bought mine.

He recommended what Tony just said - 3-3.25"
The total amount of oil is 125cc and it takes 5W-50 Castrol Syntec.

I made my dipstick out of 2 popcicle sticks in a T shape and marked a 3" line and a 3.25" line on it so when I set it in the plug hole, it sits flush and a pull it up to read that it is between the two marks.

Thanks for the input and the popsicle sticks are a great idea.....Roe told me today the oil of choice is 5W-50 Castrol full synthetic and seems to be verified here on the forum....Are you using 15W-50?

I suspect the "best way" to change the oil is to removed the blower and dump the oil, put some clean, thin oil in it and try washing, then dump again. Re-instal blower and refil with fresh oil.

Sean recommends an oil change ever 50,000 miles.
