SnakeBit06, That sounds like a dream come true, the ONLY downside (the days you have to drive Anything else to work) bet it takes a little longer to get there & not nearly as enjoyable:drive:. Stay Safe!

>>>Agreed ... Think I need to try and plan for retirement in Germany . It would help keep me young . A daily dose of driving 120 mph + would help slow aging .<<<

That's for sure! :D :D :D :sun: :drive:

>>>Will you add me as a friend on FB so I can keep up with local Viper happenings?

Welcome to Facebook<<<

Of course, Eric! Done.

Local Viper happenings? European Viper Platform on FB, yes.
We do MONACO in MAY 2011. F1 race time frame!

I am no longer an active member of the H.H.-fan-club, the guy who crashed my RT/10 when in for service....:crazy2:

What's the H.H. Fan Club? Taking my car in for service is one of my biggest worries. Are Viper techs registered? Is there a website that I can search for a Viper Tech? The dealership in Bad Kreuznach has 3 Viper customers, none of them Gen III, so I'm not convinced I want to leave my Snake with them.

Eric, I would NOT leave my Viper at any place in Germany north of MUNICH again. I trusted H.H. once and he was a long time viperclub friend too and a "Viper-Tech"....the German club still does huge advertisement for him though....disgusting to say the least.

Will send you a note on FB ...

for nice women, you need to go to Holland!! :D

@snakebit06

Def. hook up when we go to the ring! Sometimes we organise a cannonballrun in Germany AND on occassion a tunnelrun in London or Paris. Would be nice if you can hook up with us!

Yea out west where you live is the only place to find the nice ones, I know because we lived there until 1991.. not much luck here down south!
Having been to the U.S. for the first time recently I tend to disagree though, some astronomically better women there :headbang:

Competent Viper maintenance in Europe is not easy to find. Let's share info. The UK is an island Neil. If I could just drive there it wouldn't be so bad though. A chance to meet more women! I wonder if Claire remembers me?:dunno:

Graphite...I think I saw you on the autobahn a couple of months ago. Either July or August would've probably been the A67, maybe the A6. I'm only about 40 minutes from Heidelberg, we'll have to get together before the ice and snow sweep in. I'm heading to a small, local military car show tomorrow from 11am-3pm in Weisbaden. I'm sure there won't be much of anything to look at, but they asked me if I'd bring the Viper, so if you're free, I know they'd love to see your car there. After all the only thing better than a Viper is more than one Viper. However, after a quick jump over to check the weather, it's not looking to be a great day for a drive in the Viper, but I'm still planning to be there. If you are interested, you can reach me at 016098548895.

Eric,

I'm getting ready to leave Afghanistan and my car is ready for one more drive before winter. I'll let you know when I get back to BK and we can get together and maybe we can hit Autobahn 63 great place to play. So far 176mph in my vette. If not we can always take a ride and visit Markus in Bavaria.

See you soon

A few years ago I rented a 911 from Avis in Stuttgart. I took it out on the Autobahn and hit 170 mph - top speed for that particular car. I can't imagine being in a Viper. You guys have something special over there!

I'm looking forward to it brother. I took the Viper to a unit car show last Sunday...about 35 cars were judged and 20+ were Mustangs...and the BC chose a 1998 Saleen vert as the Best Muscle Car...you believe that? I asked the owner if he'd like to find out if he really had the best muscle car...he politely refused.:dunno: While 1 Viper eclipses 20+ Mustangs, it still would've been nice having some company!

I expect that to happen soon! And, if winter should start to cover us in white, come for skiing!

Neil,

Who is this Viper tech? I'm about to get some service done on the Viper and would love to have an experienced tech. Would love to throw a holiday in the mix as well.

So...I beat a Porsche that had GT3 Cup written all over it...I MEAN ALL OVER IT! It was gaudy to say the least. We were on the A63 between Alzey and K-town, he was right on my a$$ up to 185 mph but then slowly I pulled away from him. I couldn't get my snake to go faster than 192 or 193 mph (going too fast to stare at the speedo). I assume that it has to do with not shifting gears at the proper time or something. Let me tell you it was intense, pucker factor 10. The wind rushing past the car sounds like a hurricane. I don't really know how to describe it, but the car feels super tight and controlled. It was a rush to say the least. One more victim falls to my snake.

And for all you legalistic folks...it was Autobahn, no limit stretch of about 12 miles, and we really got on it when there wasn't traffic. And thank all of you in advance for your stories about seeing destroyed super cars and blah blah blah. Your .02 is definitely appreciated, just know it is also taken with a grain of salt. So I'll just sum it up.

Follow the rules kiddies, because bad things can happen if you go fast. Let me caveat that with "Why the %$#! did you buy a Viper if you want to harp on not going fast...maybe the Prius forum needs some sage advice.

Back to what matters...ya'll come on over to this side of the pond and do what you gotta do to get a Viper out on the A-bahn.
