If you gotta have it and don't mind ******* away money then buy at sticker. Otherwise there are deals to be had at more than 10 grand off. Wait to the end of January to mid February to look for a car and start dealing. GTS Bruce

......... Some dealers are offering $15,000 to $19,000 off MSRP on 2009's. Who can you beleive? ........

Having bought a 2009 ACR recently, I have to say I am very skeptical of a discount deeper than 13,500 on a NEW '09 on MSO.

If you were offered a $19k discount, and passed it up, I think you missed a steal of a deal. Would you have walked away at -19k?

Who can I believe? I dont believe $19k off new! but good luck, it is the best Viper I have ever owned.......

Let me clarify something. $19,000 off was on a non ACR 2009. Second, I don't think any dealer is losing money on any Viper. Invoice on the car I want (black or Graphite ACR, all black int., non ********, with black centerband, prefer drivers stripe) is about $89,500 without tax and plate. Lowest price I have right now is about $92,500 on an ACR. But not the ones I want. (yellow, blue w/blue interior, green, white no cb) I think there is a reason so many of the cars not sold are similar. I don't mind someone making a profit. But more than $2000 on a new car seems ridiculous to me.

There is a yellow ACR on ebay that Tomball has for $15,000 off MSRP

Dodge : Viper: eBay Motors (item 180570980021 end time Oct-27-10 06:52:34 PDT)

Now, If they can give 15k off on that one, then they can give that much off any 2009 Viper ACR. Color has nothing to do with price. Chrysler is throwing money to move these vehicles. I want my price to include ALL discounts.

Get my drift?

These are $100,000 cars not $20,000 Toyota's. If you want the service and performance associated they are going to want a bigger profit. It is NOT a high volume car, they aren't selling 1,000 a month at every dealership. The more expensive the item the larger the margin. Even if the % margin stays the same, the $ profit will be higher.

If you don't want a dealer making a profit, but a used car. I bought the car I wanted. I'm not going to sweat over a couple of grand to get what I want.

So you want a specific color that no one has, on a 2009 of which there are fewer and fewer everyday.
And you want them to give it you for their cost and make no money on the sale.
No wait, lose money on the sale.

Shouldn't be a problem seems reasonable to me...

If they only made $2k on the sale of a new car they wouldn't stay in business. That would never cover the overhead associated with running a dealership. Seriously, I am not trying to be a dick, but your above post sounds like you should be buying a Mistubishi EVO or something similiar. I have to laugh hard when I read your posts that you are chiseling over a couple grand on a $107k car.

Your exactly right, just wait until Spring...If anyone on here thinks any dealer is losing money on a ACR your drinking the cool-aide,lol...Do you think that any dealer is going to tell you the incentives they are getting from Chrysler.?? and I wouldnt expect them to. Your best bet is set a price that you want to spend on a particular ACR tell the dealer and if he cant let it go for that say thanks and be on your way..To bad you missed out on my fully loaded 09 Graphite/Black/Red DS with 4 miles..sold for 93K............FYI Ringgold has always given me the best deal.....Kevin

And next spring you'll find just the color you want sitting on a dealers lot with him giving 20K off.
Everything will be different then.

I waited 30 years for a Hemi Cuda for a good price and by the time I was ready they were gone. I guess that is 30 years I missed out on driving a really cool car.

Good luck on the Viper giveaway in your favorite color.

This is getting really funny! You don't think a dealer is entitled to make 2k on a 100+ car? So what are you saying to all the guys who paid 100k for a car that had a list price of 107k? Did they pay too much, should they get their money back? Using your math an appliance store that sells a $1000 fridge should make $20 bucks! Do us all a favor, go buy a car and stop nickel and diming and post some nice pictures of your new Viper, I'm sure we would all rather congratulate you rather then read this thread!!:(
