Was just watching Viper Cup and they interviewed Ralph and he said it will be out "sometime in the second quarter of 2012!!!" :)

Which means there is just more than a styrofoam car out there. They should already have a prototype out running around.

The MY will be 2013.....not a '12.

And he did say that 'several' mules are in testing now, around Detroit

With no new Vipers being produced for the next 30 months or so, I would imaging there will be a feeding frenzy when the next generation is officially available.

Same thing happened in 2003 with VGX-SRT. Wild speculation [and early flipping of cars]

Interesting note:

There has not been a M.Y. without a roadster/vert. But there were 7 MYs with NO coupes.

Are we ASSuming since the G-V Sneak Peek was a coupe, that they ALL will be coupes?

Jon I wasn't there, and I know you were. Members have said that Ralph said the coupe will be first, and the roadster and ACR equivalent will follow. Are you implying the Vert will be available first, or both together?

Not meaning to imply otherwise, just unsure of the MY of any roadster / ACR variants.

Personally, Im happy in a roadster-less Viper world! I drove em from 93-98, and sporadically since. NW weather you see,,,,,,,Im too old to enjoy the wind in my sinuses.
have a 94-black now, stored. ($23k)

$23K are you keeping that Jon or selling it? Drove the Viper to work yesteday in the nice weather we are having and thought I saw the mule driving around Highlands Ranch. Looked weird coming towards me, but alas it was just a new all black fricken' Bugatti. Looked like a UFO coming down the road. Man those are wide! For $23K, I could buy your Viper or 1/2 a brake job for that Bugatti. Ha! Ha!

I really liked the sneak peak of the new model. From my understanding, there may be much more Fiat in this car than we think. I like that, but I maybe I do not. I will post on this later....

If you are looking for a Gen 1, like mentioned. Now is the time to buy.

Second quarter of 2012 is April 1 to June 30, 2012. That is between 17 and 20 months from now before the 2013 will be available. That is sooner than previously anticipated. That must mean that Ralph wants to race one. LQ.

So much for the argument that "Dodge was showing us something three (3) years out, and nobody does that...."

The comment seems to make sense, as you will recall there were concerted efforts to get information from members on the website, and then there was a seemingly strange period when it happened all over again.

Sort of an on-again, off-again, on-again project.

Please do - 'more Fiat' seems mysterious... does that mean lighter weight? Smaller than at VOI or redesigned engine despite what we've been told?

The cool thing is that, (at least) IT WILL BE A VIPER!!!!!!! :2tu:
